With an active community of more than 5000 members how could we launch a high performance program in which all the members would get involved and use the strength of their group without having to spend money or very little

Give them something of such enormous value they won’t only just want to get involved, they will want to involve all their friends too.

What that is only you can figure out as they are your tribe.

I absolutely agree with you.
What would you do for example with a tribe like this

I would look to solve their biggest problem.

I would look to solve their biggest problem.
Or a problem they'd signup to get solved. It doesn't have to be their biggest problem (in case that scares you from starting).

@Greich ... you question is so vague you'll likely only get vague answers. If you can be more specific then people can you help you more specifically.

I mean if we are as many as 5,000 people what kind of program would be suitable so that we can build on the strength of that number without having to invest a lot of money each. Kind of like an idea to harness the strength of the crowd

Tribe like what? You haven't provided any specific information. Are they all following you for a specific reason? I don't know your market, they are your people.

I would ask myself why they are there though. I'd make a list of my top 5 reasons.

Then I would ASK THEM what are their concerns, what are their pain points. What do THEY get from being part of this community. WHY are they there. What would THEY like help with.

I'd then compare that information with my list to see if I really do know my audience and take it from there.

THEY have all your answers. We don't.

As we don't know anything about the 5000 people and the information you provided is vague here is a silly/fun suggestion (also because I recently read about the monetisation for youtube) that respects your constraints (the strength of group and not needing a lot of money). But please take it more like a joke and an imagination exercise not actually advice as it completely misses the N.E.C.S.T principles or at least most of them and this is definitely not a good use of your time.

So here is the imaginary exercise:

- In order for a youtube channel to get monetised you need to have a least 1000 followers and 4000 hours of watch time. ( you have 5000 people and the watch hours can be easily achieved).
- Each person will have a youtube channel and each channel will follow the other channel.
- Each channel will post videos and the other will watch the videos, like them and comment on them.
- After each channel will get approved for the partner program each video will start to earn money from ads.
- By creating videos with more than 10 minutes length, you can add ads every 2 minutes during the video.
- Depending of the type of the content your ads can cost more or less (usually the money and investing content have the highest cost per ad). Usually the expected amount - depending of the number of ads during the video, type of content, how relevant the video/channel is for the youtube algorithm, watch time, etc - varies per 1000 views between $2-$3 for generic content(family content, general not specific content), around $5 for car channels, around $7 for makeup content, $15-$30 or even more for money and investing channels depending on the topic; Anyway the amount can vary a lot as you can see depending on a few factors, but you get the idea.
- For a video to be more relevant you will need likes, watch time and interactions (comments) - this should not be difficult because you have the numbers

Conclusion:
- $ cost for you zero,
- time cost for you can be considerable high as you have to make sure that people are in this together and active; content creation (you can't just put a picture as a video and title it something like "how to make millions with dropshipping in 3 months" and expect to be accepted in the youtube partner program; watch time for videos, likes and comments; it might be possible to automate this but it might trigger youtube to ban your channels.
- the more videos and watch time you have the more money you can make
- risks: youtube can discover your little gig and might demonetise or even ban your channels.

I hope this was a fun read and you won't actually implement it. :))

On a different note, you can always try going into real estate: for example 5000 people X $100 = $500,000. That can be a nice source of recurrent income if done well but imagine the legal hell you have to go through to make it real (I have no clue, this is just my assumption).

Oh my God! I must admit that apart from the risk of being exposed by youtube, the idea is more than tempting. I could read proposals of the kind tirelessly.
You probably have others ... a little more practical. Or less whatever

Here is another crazy one!(But aren't all like that in the beginning). :)

In order for this to work you need to satisfy the following condition:
- your group does the online shopping usually through amazon or something similar that offers affiliate program. For the seek of this discussion we take the amazon as example.
- your group would not undermine you and try to copy your gig.

You need to open an amazon affiliate account (free of charge, but needs to be under and individual name, not company) and every time a person from the group does a shopping from amazon will use the affiliate link for the product instead of buying directly. You might automate that, but in the beginning you would surely have to do it manually. Depending of what the group buys you might get a percentage of the price, up to 10%. Here is a list with what you can expect Amazon.com Associates Central.

Now you need to figure out, how to motivate them to use your gig and not try to undermine you.

Dont know if already said, but the best thing I have seen is.
1. Merch like T shirts, mugs, either a branded group thing or just memes related to group and inside jokes.

2. If applicable make a udemy course, write it up, pay someone on fiver to make it inforgraphic videos, then unlimited selling potential

3. Start some sort of business where all your group could be customers. Eg if it was a vauxhall cars group then you start a parts company specialising in those parts etc etc.
