Hello to all the fastlaners of the forum and thanks in advance for the replies.
As the title says, I need your feedback on this idea which I hope will be the beginning of a series of actions on my part.
I want to introduce myself as what I am, a procrastinator, dysfunctional thinker and perfectionist who hasn't been able to take the first step for too long often due to unfounded fears.
That said, I've noticed that in the city where I live, on average for every 10 cars I see, 2 or 3 of them have yellowed and dull headlights from the sun.
Therefore, polishing being relatively simple, I watched various tutorials on youtube and bought the necessary for an optimal job.
I will run the first test on a friend's car, in order to be able to observe in advance any problems that could arise during the work and then with the actual customers.
The feedback I need from you concerns how to search for potential customers.
Being the work to be done on cars, I have the possibility to observe directly and therefore propose polishing only to people who really need it, thus avoiding going to reach people who are not involved, thus spending my time more effectively.
It is here that the first doubts, the first fears arise.
I'm a little afraid to do this job illegally, but at the moment I need to test the market.
The idea was to go around the city and stick notes on cars with yellowed headlights.
Normally I would order the classic color business cards online, which are also quite professionally made. But this time I thought I'd keep the excessive perfectionism at bay, as I don't like the idea of people thinking I do this job routinely. So I was thinking of printing black and white tickets in a very homemade way with the printer, or even writing them all by hand. The intention was to pass for a guy just trying to make ends meet, which at the end of the day is who I am.
In short my question is:
Homemade or professional cards?
Adjectives that can push customers to call me rather than throwing the ticket in the trash, such as "cheap, fast, directly to your home" or remain vague and ask to contact me on the number if they want information?
I probably already know how I should go about it, maybe what I really need is just a kick in the a$$ to get started.
Thanks for your time and sorry for the translation.
