I see this question a lot here, and posted in a lot of introductions.

How do I get started when I have no money and no skills?

I made a video to answer...

Also there's an update on my next book near the end of the vid!

Enjoy, and if you're broke with no skills, I hope it helps you!
Just finished my daily reading on becoming people saviors TFL and came across this video.

You make it so explicit that it starts to materialise and the steps become concrete,

Thank you very much MJ for the value you create !

Hi MJ,

Thank you very much for the video.
The video really helped.

I'm guilty of being to focus on the end result that I forget to take a step back in order to craft my path to this end goal.

Now I see there are some stages or steps that I need to go through in order to get to my end goal.

Thanks for the video. I think I already watched it 1 or 2 years ago and now in the last years building our business I took some of the steps unconsciously but back then when I saw the video I didn't quite understand it. Or maybe I just didn't want to see the hard work that it means to take this path.

Currently the skill I learn for my startup is getting leads and closing deals and even if our startup fails I learned a skill which I can sell in the future as a freelancer.

In retrospect it's hard to realize what the reason was that I didn't get the process 2 years ago when I saw the video the first time. I think I found it interesting but was still searching for an easier path. For about ten years I was reading and studying entrepreneurship (since the first time I read the millionaire fastlane ). Without doing a lot. I tried some projects but never gave it my all. I had to learn at first how to work hard and apply yourself.

The most I learned entrepreneurialy was in the past year because I worked intensely on our startup. In retrospect the 1.5 years before I was putting in the startup was just lurking around.

So to anyone who reads this and reads every business book, every post on the forum, every motivational video. Start doing. Start working on your fastlane venture by following the steps in the video. Reading, thinking and learning doesn't mean much without action. Action and execution of your learnings is the thing that matters. Make a plan and start now.

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I consider all of this information to be of incredible value. At this stage I find myself at a crossroads. I have a fundamental job, but I'm designing an e-commerce for a product created by an external company. I don't have a specialized job but I'm studying to create e-commerce. Do you recommend me before specializing starting from the basics or can this also be fine?

Below is a great podcast I’ve linked to over the years. I believe it’s relevant.

Basically:
  • Learn a skill.
  • Sell the skill.
  • Scale the skill
These are like MJ's steps 2-4.

I’ve always said I’d flip burgers if I had to (except flipping burgers wouldn't pay enough to cover the bills anyway). That’s step 1. Nothing wrong with working a job while you build up to the next step.

Я часто встречаюсь с этим вопросом здесь и публикую его во многих введениях.

Как мне начать, когда у меня нет денег и навыков?

Я снял видео, чтобы ответить...

[МЕДИА=youtube]r_58zPgArb4[/МЕДИА]

Также в конце видео есть обновление о моей следующей книге!

Наслаждайтесь, и если вы разорены и не имеете никаких навыков, я надеюсь, что это поможет вам!
I am very grateful to you for your willingness to help us aspiring young people who are gradually adding value to their process and learning from those who have been through it and can REALLY recommend anything! Stay the same and continue to rejoice at your guys who are just starting out! I would also add that you need to look for a working environment and accomplices, because you will not go far alone.

Hello to all,

I'm currently developing my specialized skill while maintaining a full time job in order to get some capital and paying the bills.
But I find myself spreading to thin and many days I get the feeling I didn't accomplish anything.

Any advises?

Hello to all,

You're looking at someone who has done that for nearly 4 years to stack cash from day job. What I do is find out what I need to learn to do X. Then start the learning process and taking it seriously through study and notes. (I've already filled one notebook!) I created a daily goals and tried to hit them. It doesn't always work but it at leasts set the stage.

Today I'm getting really good at software development and Unity game engine because of that daily grind. Today I had a coworker say "it looks professional" when I showed him a project I was working on. That is an echo. That is a sign I'm on the right track. (It's not the first time either.)

TLDR - Find what needs to be done. Create daily goals. Do it. Adjust when needed. Use sites like Kanbanflow or Trello manage your process. I personally use Trello. I have multiple boards on my account. One for the future company formation and others for separate software projects.

Loved the video!
However, despite watching it a few times, I still don't understand the difference between specialized labor and specialized skill. Does anyone care to explain it too me in other terms? Thanks a lot in advance!

John and I have very similar takes on wealth. I make a cameo in this video as does TMF .

It does have significant upselling, but the video concept is kinda funny.

I still don't understand the difference between specialized labor and specialized skill.

Specialized labor: I can pull all the weeds in your yard for $200. It takes you 4 hours. $50/hour.
Specialized skill: I can build you a brick fence around your garden for $2,000 -- it takes you 3 days or 20 hours. You made $100 hour.
