Just wanted to open a new thread as other leagues I am have already started sending invites and such.

I know we had some discussion about the league buy in last year. If anyone wants to chime in on that, have at it.

One thing to consider, we did have some people in the league last year who wasn't even putting a lineup in. Maybe if the "buy in" was higher, people would try harder? Something to talk about I guess.

Anything anyone wants to see changed or a different format to consider...bring it up here.

I guess Yankee's will handle the payments again this year. If for some reason he doesn't want to (I know he is in college currently) then I will be glad to handle the duties. Last year I think everyone ended up paying but as someone brought up, it is better to get payments in early before the season progresses.

Anyone who has never joined this league, as far as I know...we are open to new members. I forget how many we had last year but it couldn't of been over like 10 or so? I would think we got plenty more room for some rookies.

Lastly, this year I promise to not screw up the entire draft!

Look forward to another great year guys.

Yeah, $50 may be a good starting point for discussion.

Also, I like "keeper" leagues. Essentially, you get to keep one or two of your best players for next year. One thing it does do for sure, is promote trading and league activity. If you start out 0-5 and totally stink, you would be best served to shop around what few good players you would have to get one or two great players to reload for next year.

Just a thought, I brought it up a year or two ago but most seemed to not like the idea of it.

<I'm totally in and up for 50 dollar buy in. I'm assuming I won't be able to grab Miles Austin in free agency this year as well. :D

After taking 2nd place the first year I got snubbed last year. So for the record I'm in. $50.00 sounds fine with me.

Hmm... I'm a football fan- however, I came in last place the first year I attempted fantasy football. So the next year, my goal was to not finish last- I failed. I took last year off playing... maybe I'll give it another shot? lol:smxG:

As the Vince Lombardi of the Fastlane Fantasy Football league, I say let's raise the entry fee. It will be my money at year's end, anyways!

Two tries. Two championships.

The Merkins are in for the 3-peat!

... although a part of me feels as though I should retire as a legend.

I vote for at least regular season champ gets $50 back (If that is the entry fee) and then maybe even runner-up in Playoffs gets $50 back? Of course, winner of playoffs rakes in the rest.

I guess we need to make a push and see who is in and is out.

Anyone who has any interest in then, please let us know through this thread!

Everyone cool with $50 per team? We have not had a ton of people really committed to the idea of a league this year but maybe now that the season has started and it is getting closer....it will all come together.

I will create a yahoo league or whatever site is preferred.

We have 8 per this thread who is cool with $50. Would love to get 10-12 though that way we can still have a few who won't make playoffs and give a bit more depth to the league. Spread the word guys!

Wow, not sure how I missed this thread, but Im in. $50 is no problem, just let me know the details. Also, do you want me to send money in, or do you just want me to hold all the money and skip the middleman :)

Alright, let's talk draft time.

I would say since we have not even got a confirmed amount of players yet to look into late next week or first few days in Sept. I think the first game of the year is Sept 9th.

Anyone who is reading this and is interested, please chime in. We need to get as many players as possible so the pot is extra sweet for me. :smx6:

Fastlane Fantasy Football 2010-2011

How much does it cost to play in this league? $50

Draft time: Sept. 5th, Sunday 6pm EST.

Where can I sign up? Sign up here

League name is: Fastlane Fantasy Football Password: fastlane

How do we want to do payouts?

Regular season champ gets $50 back and playoff champ takes the remaining amount?

I guess since I create the link this year I can collect, hold, and payout (hopefully to myself) the league dues and winnings.

My paypal e-mail is wood4pres at aol dot com

Please put in the subject your team name or board name on here so I can keep up with who paid and who has not.

Lastly, I check out the league settings...these are default. Anyone want to suggest changes, please do. As long as the majority of us agree upon any suggested rules changes, I can change them before the draft.

Please give input on everything in this post. Draft time, settings, payout.

Any questions, just ask.

Luke

Can we move passing TD's to 6 points? I think ESPN has that as the default. Do we have enough people?

Also, I think reg season champ should get $100 (double money) while the playoff winner gets the rest. I think the reg season is harder to win than the playoffs since the last two weeks of the season a lot of starters sit.

Agreed with MJ. 6 Points for passing TD's. Running backs were scoring way too much in comparison to Quarterbacks last year imo.

I think my Chris Johnson averaged like 28 points/game.

Yes only four in...need 8 for sure. Preferably a few more....

By the way, I wonder if yahoo defaults all passing TD's to 4? I changed it to 6 and always thought it was 6...didn't even think to look.

All of you lurkers, come out and play. Very little skilled involved, plenty of online resources or magazines offline that basically rank players for you...yahoo ranks players as well. We are begging! haha
