Does anyone have any books on Ethical Marketing? I'd like to build a quality brand that speaks for itself. Think of the difference between Tai Lopez and Malcolm Gladwell. I obviously want to be on the Malcolm Gladwell side. Something with a subdued, non-bombastic, understated tone. Not flashy or bragioso.

I was really impressed by the branding on this book:

It has a minimalist charm that's the antithesis of flamboyant materials. Anyone have any suggestions?

It seems your asking in regards to personal branding.

It's simple.

Don't be a douchbag.
Do be authentic.

I'm not 100% sure if Seth Godin has any specific branding books, but his marketing books sync up very well with MJ's value centric philosophy.

What's ethical about it? What's unethical about the other way?

It's simply different messaging for different markets.

There is no difference. It's all copy. Written by the same guys and gals.

You find this message more appealing because you are the target market this time.

You don't need a book on this. When you are doing something ethical or unethical, your conscience will know when you do it, or think about doing it.

Thanks guys. What I mean is that... a good chuck of the books (not all) I see on marketing see to involve mild to moderate amounts of manipulation. Even a lot of the more ethical books try to get you to feign scarcity. I'd rather just put things out there and let them stand on their own two legs.

That plus non-gaudy, clean branding like the book I linked to

Thanks for the links
