Error on forum

Does anyone have a recommended hosting provider? I'm losing my patience with my host who just wants me to go "oh well" about having 90% of the forum's mail blocked, spammed, or junked.

I'm happy with KnownHost, but I use a VPS plan and only for small websites, but they also offer dedicated and are established name, could be a good choice. Knowledgeable support and fast.

At least that's how it's been for me.

Something that has been happening to me lately:

I sometimes don't get any notifications/alerts when people post in threads that I posted in or that I "watch".

I only realized that someone had posted in these when browsing the forum list.

I haven't recognized a pattern yet though...

I had this the other day when I was trying to send someone a PM.

Notes about said PM (in case it helps):

• No pictures.
• No links.
• There were quotes.

After it failed for about a fourth time (I'm stubborn) I split the message in two. The first part sent, then the whole site went missing with a DNS error of some type (I forget the specific error code). Been fine since then though. This was on Monday or Tuesday I believe.

Troubles I had with the forum the last 2 days @MJ DeMarco

I only had access via mobile, and I had these issues:

Whenever I went to write a comment, I would get kicked back to the login page with the message "you must be logged in to do that"

Tried to send a PM to @jpanarra , and got kicked back to the login page, same message.

If I tried to "like/thanks" a post, it would give me the animation at the top of my screen showing it working on it (the three bars that move to show it processing) but would never like the post. Specifically this was when I tried to like a post from @Vigilante in the Tampa Meetup thread.

When I would push "new posts" I would get kicked back to the login page as well. However, if I looked to see who was online, my name did show up as logged in.

I had no troubles with any other sites, including sites I had to log into. So I don't believe it was an issue with my phone (I could be wrong though)

I'm writing this with my laptop, no issues. However, I just tried to use my phone and I got kicked back to the login page when I hit "new posts" or my name and then "alerts"

This is usually the result of a mobile phone setting that does not recognize you are logged in, which is why you continually are pushed out.

Chrome mobile..."allow third party cookies" was shut off.

Turned that on, cleared cookies and history, now it seems to work fine.

I've been getting an error when using the search functionality recently:

I've emailed with @MJ DeMarco a couple of times when I bought books from him, using the "Contact us" form on the forum.

MJ's replies said to "MidwestLandlord" (I assume since it was sent through the forum to my yahoo account)

Since then, my Yahoo email shows up as coming from "MidwestLandlord"

WTF?

I've been all over Yahoo's help stuff, no luck. Name is set correctly in the account. No forum handle to be seen.

This is my business email account haha. Can't really show up saying "MidwestLandlord"

Any ideas how to get that off there?????
