Hey everyone,
Finally posting my intro. I'm from the Netherlands, 30 year old male, working as an autobody technician and all-rounder (dent repair, painting, prep work).
Here's my honest story:
In 2021 I quit my job (autobody technician) after 8 years of working there and went full time into dropshipping.
I was at a point i hated the work and was so bored with doing every day the same thing i resigned with no revenue, no real plan, just drive.
And it was great having the whole day working from home, but my discipline was not as good.
Spent around €10K over 18 months on courses, ads, and everything in between, got the traditional FB blocks and more problems that accur with dropshipping.
Results were poor. Looking back, I gave maybe 3-4 months of real effort out of 18, after that i slacked a lot......
And the fact that i sold bad products i didn't support, did everything for the "Winner product" but before i found one i slacked.
Went back to autobody technician and been there 2.5 years now good pay, close to home, decent work but the feeling never went away.
Earlier this year I tested two products again, got a few sales but nothing that made me say let's go. Then did nothing for 4 months.
Sourced the products via Aliexpress, made the store and runned facebooks ads €100,- for each product when i had orders i bought them and then shipped them to the customers.
Till this day i lived the same life for years, no real big changes still living with my parents, no partner but for the past 3 months i have been going steady to the gym not perfect but i have been there every week.
Eating good and healthy and more aware.
i drive an 2004 toyota corolla and have a motorcycle which i really love to tour on, the most fun hobby i had for the last 3 years.
Did a 2,5 week trip to the french alps and the vosges last year, that was the first time alone on vacation and with the motorcycle, and i loved it.
I also like fishing on Perch and barbel but from the motorcycle i get more adrenaline, but the most fun is in Germany, Luxembourg the Netherlands is not fun anymore and very boring with the motorcycle.
I consider myself a petrolhead i love everything with an engine, boats, race cars, helicopters, planes, excavator you name it.
So why am I here?
Because I know the employee road is not where I want to end up, looking in the future the pension age goes up and everything is getting more expensive so in the worst case i literally work to death....
And with my current salary i can't buy an small apartment in my village because they are to expensive, so buying a house i need 2 salary's and that is not possible with my current job.
Renting is possible but i'm competing with 1000-4000 other people on the few houses that are available, so the chances are slim.
The only way in my mind is to generate more income, i have read The Millionaire Fastlane but it have been i while since i read it, so i know the C.E.N.T.S framework.
But i have an problem where i can't find ideas for a business, mayby i don't recognize them or don't see them, and then take the easy route and do nothing.
So i hope to find tip and tricks from people here on the forum to get a C.E.N.T.S idea or even an idea that is not C.E.N.T.S but can generate an income so the ball keeps rolling.
I'm not here to fake it. I don't have a success story. I have a pattern I'm trying to break and enough self awareness to know I need to be around people who are further along than me.
Looking forward to learning from this community.
