Error on forum

Found a bug.

Thread starter isn't actually shown correctly. The forum tends to put the most recent posters name as the person who started the thread instead of the person who actually started the thread. @MJ DeMarco

Im trying to make edits on my forum post but I keep getting this:

Frustrating because this has been happening all day.

This is happening again, and forum is going in & out of service today.
Anyone else having issues?

Haven't received any reports of forum outages which means it might be a connectivity problem from your location to the server location.

As for the other error, this occasionally happens when making edits on large posts, the server interprets the edit as some type of hack and trips a 500 error. There isn't much I can do for it other than turning off a security feature at the forum which fixes this problem, but invites a whole host of others.

Your best bet is to append another post to the thread in question, or reduce the size of the original post.

And yea, I've had this happen to me a few times a year.

Got it. Just trimmed the fat on one of the posts.
Worked fine, all good now.

So, I would practically spam the 'edit' button to see if anything would work yesterday. Would it be a possibility that the forum throws you off if it detects too many edits in X amount of time as a safety feature? That may be what's happening, as I can browse the forum fine when on a proxy.
