Calendar Week 35 Update:

I'm currently in Tbilisi and busy with my Georgian Business Setup. I hired a Lead Generation Specialist via Upwork that generated leads, however none of them were approached via direct email outreach.

For next week, I will go full force with loom videos + cold text emails (50/50) split-testing the method that @BlackMagician shared in his post.

- 0 cold emails sent
- 2 Strategy Sessions
- 0 Clients closed

I have 2 Strategy sessions aligned for next week, hoping to close someone next week! Will give you guys an update next Sunday.

Results are in following up. I followed 6-10 times for each client before they went on a call with me.
I followed them on email, then on Facebook/insta, then on LinkedIn, then again on email.
Check @Kyle T notable thread on video to see the pattern of following up.
I mixed his method with mine to get results.

Spitting some truth, I also saw the magic happening especially when I followed up with calls. I guess email/insta/linkedin works too. Thx a lot for sharing that post, checking it out right now.

Hey guys, I'm back from a 1-month break of not posting on the forum. My initial plan was to still give weekly updates, however I ended up slacking and not doing it.

A lot of things have happened since the last month while I was gone. The business has grown, I have made LOTS of improvements both to my service-fullfillment process (Value for my clients) as well as my sales process (acquiring new clients).

The biggest change and upgrade has indeed been to my sales process by following up 4 times with every single one of my leads. In the past, I used to only send one cold email and that was it.. oh boy was I leaving money on the table.

My calendar is being booked way more often now and I would say I have around 5-7 calls per week with new potential clients at the moment (Automated with a VA that does all the lead generation + direct outreach via cold email).

Also Linkedin has been starting to get me leads, so im happy to finally see my investment in that paying off and I will be investing more into it the coming months.

Glad to be back! I'l be posting daily again to get the ball rolling, since I just moved from Germany to Georgia 2 days ago and I just moved into my new apartment over here today.

Already got a Gym membership + Meal Service membership + Coworking + New apartment + cleaning lady once per week, so everything is set and ready to go. Full focus on the business and cant wait to rock it this Q4!!!

Day #2

Pomodoro Sessions: 3
Sleep: 7.5 hrs

To-dos that I completed:

- Had a setting call with someone who has budget to improve his email marketing right now for Q4. Arranged the sales call straight for tommorow and im looking to close him!
- Have another 2 setting calls lined up for tommorow

Thoughts:

- Currently focusing much more on sales than service fulfillment. I kinda want to get a lot of clients this month so I can focus November + December almost exclusively on the actual Email Marketing + Hiring people to start giving tasks, rather than having to do the sales calls myself.

Day #3

Pomodoro Sessions: 5
Sleep: 7 hrs

To-dos that I completed:

- Had one sales call, didn't close him on the call, but I think he has a 50/50 chance of buying
- Had a setting call and scheduled a proper sales call for next week with another potential client.
- Got a second lead generation specialist who will specialize on woocommerce shops in Germany

To summarize, my setup looks as follows now:

- I have Leadgeneration Specialist #1 who searches for shopify stores in Germany and puts all relevant data (founders email, telephone, linkedin, contact details etc in google sheet).
- I have Leadgeneration Specialist #2 (she just started today) who searches for woocommerce shops in Germany and does the same thing as Leadgen specialist #1.
- Both Leadgen specialists have a series of 5 email templates, that they send to all the leads they find (1 direct outreach cold email and 4 followup emails).
- There is approx 3 days in between sending the followup emails.
- At the same time, im servicing existing clients and also doing setting calls + sales calls with all the leads that end up booking a calendar session with me (From the leads that leadgen specialist #1 and leadgen specialist #2 are emailing constantly).
- What I also do, is I add the founders on linkedin and message them to get into conversations. Doesnt always work, but sometimes it does and can be very rewarding.
- In addition, I also post 1-2 times per week on Linkedin.
- My main focus is to close more deals this month and increase revenue so I can afford to hire more people to take on the service fulfillment part of the business. Perhaps hiring a sales guy could also be possible, lets see..

Day #1

Pomodoro Sessions: 11
Sleep: 7 hrs

Update:

OK, things are kinda blowing up now. Since I got 2 people doing lead generation, I have so many "First Appointments", im starting to get sick of them lol.

Top priority now is to close these deals in the second sales call, as I have already been fking up quite a few prospects over the last month (was on a streak of not closing 5-6 sales calls).

Anyhow, there is many things I have improved again and again in the presentation, so im confident that this week or latest beginning of next week, I will be closing 1-2 more clients (already got 8 appointments with new interested people this week).

I never expected the pace to speed up so fast.

Im also looking into getting a coach myself now, to further improve my offering into a NO-BRAINER deal and help me out with my marketing + positioning side of things on Linked-In.

There is only 2 people in the German market that I see as serious competition at this stage and honestly, I want to become the #1 for my niche.

To-dos that I completed Today:
- Gave feedback 30 minutes to my new leadgen specialist
- Setup facebook pixel + google analytics for my website, since now things are getting more serious, wanna start building some long term assets, also an email list.
- Sent out an invoice to customer. Funny enough, he pays me % rev share and he complained that he would like to be paying me more (aka my emails should generate more revenue, so he can pay me more lol).
- Had a 30 min call with a prospect. Went well and we arranged a second sales call.
- Did some service fulfillment work, setting up campaigns for clients.

Next update tommorow!

Day #2

Pomodoro Sessions: 6
Sleep: 7 hrs

Things completed:

- Work about 2.5 hours on my sales presentation, since I really need to improve my conversion rate. So far im only closing about 10-15% of my sales calls (which are very qualified leads and have also been on a first "Setting Call" with me).
- Had 1 sales call with a potential client, will hear final decision back next week on Tuesday
- Fixed the welcome series of one of my customers, who had some design issues

Things completed:
- Closed a new client!! (I knew it was just a matter of time now with the number of sales calls and phone calls I was doing, so im really happy about this)
- Had 2 more Setting Calls, one of them turned into a sales call next week, the other one was kind of a sketchy guy, let see.
- Did 2 hours of service fulfillment work
- Im starting to connect with more people from my industry now, top priority is really to network and talk to others and figure out whats working for them and whats not. I need to really improve my presence on Linkedin to stepup the game.

Pomodoro Sessions: 13
Sleep: 8 hrs

Things completed (Sales):

- Had 3 Setting Calls (all of them approximately 30 minutes each and all of them recorded)
- From 2 of the setting calls I arranged a final sales call / strategy session to close them. One of the strategy sessions is this week on Thursday, the other one on Monday next week.
- The 3rd setting call it was obvious that right now is not the perfect time to work together, however, we may cooperate together in the next 2-3 months moving forward.

Things completed (Service Fulfillment):

- Setup manual campaigns for 3 clients
- Worked on klaviyo account setup for my newest client who im currently onboarding the account for

Day #2

Pomodoro Sessions: 13

Things completed (Sales):
- Had 1 sales call (came as a referall from a friend) and closed them immediatly after 15 minute call and switching straight into a 51 minute sales presentation after!

Things completed (Service Fulfillment):
- Completed the onboarding for my client who I closed last week, on Friday we will go over everything and turn the sequences live

So far in October:

- My goal was to win 3 new clients this month
- Until now, I won 2 new clients this month
- Got 2 sales calls tomorrow and 1 more next week, also a few more setting calls coming up, so I can definitely close 1 more!

Keeping today's update extremely short, since I got sick today (was already feeling it yesterday).

Nontheless, I still had 2 calls today (one of them was a sales call and the guy said he will buy).

Im having a follow-up call tomorrow to close him and get the bank transfer + sending him the contract.

I have to admit, im feeling kinda overwhelmed atm. Too many clients + the fact I just got sick, is really not ideal.

Anyhow, this is amazing, its time to setup new systems, hire someone and start doing things even more professionaly now.

Keep up the great work mate! When would you recommend outsourcing Leadgen with VA's like you're doing?
Hey man. I guess outsourcing will make sense, once you can get consistent results yourself. e.g. for me, I was doing 2 hours leadgen per day consistently for 2 months and towards the end of the 2 months, I realized that it was predictable and I was getting consistent results. Thats when I decided that my time is more valuable to be focused on screening calls + sales calls and it makes sense to completely outsource the leadgen part to VAs who just get me appointments.

Day #4

Pomodoro Sessions: 4
Sleep: 9 hrs

Things completed (Sales):
- I closed 2 more clients today (quite unexpectedly, lol). One of them came from a referall of the new customer that I won on Wednesday, and the other new client was a normal lead that I had the first call with this week on Tuesday. I guess it really is "Regression to the mean", since I had so many leads that didnt close last month in September, this month all made up for it.

Here's an Overview of October:

TOTAL # Email Outreaches319
TOTAL # Follow-Up Emails813
TOTAL # Erstgespräche (First Calls)14
TOTAL # Strategy Sessions (Sales Calls)8
TOTAL # Clients Closed4

Service Fulfilment:

I have really reached my capacity of what I can handle alone now. I closed 3 new clients this week, total of 5 stores that I need to set up email marketing for. (For 2 of the clients, they purchased the setup package for 2 seperate stores each).

Total money made this month: around 8k Profit EUR.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting myself to hit the cap this soon (i.e. that maximum workload of the clients would only result in me making around 8k Profit, I thought I could handle more).

Anyway, the next step now is to record the entire process of setting up these 5 stores in the coming 2 weeks and hiring some people to handle this kind of work in the future.

One thing im unsure about, is what to do with the 2 VA's I have currently, who are doing leadgeneration. They are doing a great job and I dont want to damage the momentum they built up over the past 3 weeks... but on the other hand, I dont have time for anymore appointments or sales calls and even if I closed new clients, no capacity to do the service fulfillment. What would you guys suggest?

Awesome thread! It's really inspiring that you keep showing up and do the work consistently.

How do you manage to have high energy during the day? I can see that focus and energy are my bottlenecks at the moment so I'll appreciate your advice given that you stay on track for so long :D

Also, do you recommend any specific persons/courses/newsletter to buy/join to learn email makreting for ecom?
I'd like to switch from web design to email marketing and would appreciate any good source to learn from regarding essentials and details of emails. So far I have Ezra Firestone Ecommerce Marketing Mastery, but he didn't dive deep into emails, just general concepts.

You said that in Germany there's not too much agencies doing it properly or at all. I can see the same in Poland. I signed up for couple ecom newsletters and most don't send anything. Looks like good opportunity

Hey there, Energy + Focus I recommend you to watch the youtube video from Sam Ovens "Monk Like Discipline", this is all you need!

Regarding switching agencies.. honestly.. any agency will work. No matter if google, pinterest, email, web design, whatever.. just stick to one!
