Day #43

Pomodoro Sessions: 9
Sleep: 7 hrs

To-dos that I completed:
- Had a 30-min call with my interns today and guided them through our lead generation as well as had them present their findings up until now. I'm happy that they're getting the hang of it and the quality of their work has increased a lot over the past few days.
- Setup Klaviyo account for my newest client that I closed this week on Monday
- Found this website called rocketreach.co which is great for finding the emails of generated leads directly. Before, I was sending a lot of my cold outreach emails to support or service addresses of the companies, with rocket reach, I can actually find the email of the founder with quite a good accuracy.
- Did lead generation and found 5 new leads, sent direct outreach emails to all those 5 leads.
- Scheduled an email campaign for my biggest client. I have noticed a pretty dramatic drop in the open rates for this client, and I'm a bit worried that maybe I messed something up with the deliverability… let's see. I will be a lot more careful about the emails I send out to this list now.
- Last but not least, I got 2 prospects that signed up to my calendar for next week, so already 2 strategy sessions planned! I'm also expecting to get 1-2 more appointments, which means I should be on plan to closing another client next week as well!

Day #45

Pomodoro Sessions: 8
Sleep: 6 hrs

- Made a new LinkedIn post (social selling)
- Setup flows for my new client this week, its complete now
- Added some new features to newsletter signup options page for better segmentation, this should allow me to improve email deliverability and also not spam email list subscribers. THe questions I ask are the following:

1. With what frequency would the person like to be emailed
2. What type of content would the person like to recieve?

- Tommorow will be planning & reflecting the week

Day #47

Pomodoro Sessions: 12
Sleep: 6 hrs

To-dos that I completed:
- Did 13 Direct Outreach Cold Emails to qualified prospects
- Setup 4 campaigns for one of my clients (now I dont need to do anything for this account for 2 weeks, which is a huge relief)
- Had a 30 min call with one of my interns, she will now also be sending out cold emails as I have trained her to do through a framework I developed. She is doing the UK market, I have another intern who is doing US and I am focusing on DACH (germany, austria, switzerland) which is my core market.
- Did a linkedin post for nurturing my connections/leads
- Did some fixes to abandoned checkout sequence for a client

Learnings:
- Consistency above ALL ELSE, its the only thing that matters!

- Got 2 Sales calls tommorow --> Leadgen, linkedin + cold direct outreach is finally starting to pay off!
- Setup 2 email campaigns for my biggest client --> Text emails, very powerful and I prefer them over HTML emails tbh
- Fixed an issue in the welcome series email flow of my biggest client (image sizes on mobile)
- Re-Listened 30min to the sales call I had today to take my learnings from it, was very eye-opening what I can do better

You've got this mate! Look at that optimistic view you had of the same problem yesterday - look at it from that lens! Get some good sleep, learn from the calls, make notes on what you can improve and keep going.

Day #53

Pomodoro Sessions: 10
Sleep: 7.5 hrs

To-dos that I completed:

- Planned the entire next week
- Reviewed entire last week and took my lessons.

Summary of last week in regards to Mindset:
- Energy input was ok, I worked consistent everyday and put in the hours
- Focus was not good. I found myself overwhelmed with tasks many times, even though I had actually planned my days well, but since I kinda accepted any demands that prospects or existing clients put on me, my plans also got disrupted.
- My screen time on the iphone was 16.5 hours this week, which shows me that the focus was not good. Usually my screentime is somewhere between 8 to 12 hours per week.
- In terms of prioritization, I still get side-tracked sometimes and dont work on the 20% of most important leverage tasks. In order to do this better next week, I have planned my calendar and war map well. I will focus on executing it exactly as is.

Summary of last week in regards to Sales:
- Sent 51 direct cold outreach messages
- Had 3 Strategy Sessions (Sales Calls)
- Closed 0 new deals

Summary of last week in regards to Service-Fulfillment:
- Went quite well and I got a lot done. However, I also invested a lot of time and felt very stressed.. which shows me that I really need to focus on the key leverage tasks that bring the biggest returns next week.
- I have dedicated time slots and bulked similar tasks with one another for next week, I expect things to go more smoothly.

Love the consistent effort. Every now and again I find it's worth pausing, reviewing everything that has happened so far and see what you've learned. Here are a few questions that might be interesting for you to answer.

What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my desired results?

What were the 20% of my habits that led to 80% of my success?

What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my problems and unhappiness?

How could I 10x my income in a way that’s fun and exciting for me?

If I could only work 2 hours per day – what would I focus on?

If I could only work 2 hours per WEEK – what would I focus on?

What are the top 3 activities I use to fill time to feel as though I've been productive?

- Had 3 Interviews for hiring a copywriter --> 2 where really bad and the third one I will work with on a part-time basis to start.
- Hired 4-5 fiverr jobs for designers, im really happy with the first result that already came back. Its crazy what you can get done for 4$...... this is insane and going to save me so much time in the future.
- Setup 2 campaigns for my clients

Day #57

Pomodoro Sessions: 9
Sleep: 7.5 hrs

To-Do's that I completed:
- Tomorrow I'm having a final sales call with a store that makes 150k revenue per month, I already had a call with them on Monday this week and my goal is to close them as a new client. If I close them (this is what I'm expecting to happen because we are a great fit), I will have closed 2/3 new clients this month, only 1 more to go then!
- Sent 6 direct outreach messages
- Made one post on LinkedIn, got a lot of engagement
- Had a call with my 2 interns. Next week is their last week, so I really pushed them and motivated them hard, telling them that we need to close at least 1 sale with one of the leads that they generated. It would be super awesome if that third sale this month comes from one of the leads that my interns generated. It would make me extremely proud of them.
- I set up Email Campaigns for 2 clients
- I set up a pop up to start building an email list on my own website. I want to send an email once every month.

***Additional Update***

For the last 2 weeks, I have increasingly been noticing that posting daily in this thread is good for consistency, however, I strongly feel that this is not any more the highest value I can provide to you guys and neither is it benefiting me that greatly anymore.

My plan is to switch this habit of posting daily in the FLF thread and turning my attention to an active email marketing Facebook group which I found, since I want to go on there and search for a few people to hire and work with me in my agency.

This does not mean, that this thread is going to die.

I will continue to post here once per week (Sundays), starting from this Sunday (22.08.2021) which marks day #60.

Also, until day #60, I will still continue to post here on a daily basis, anything forward from then will switch to weekly.

I'm really looking forward to continue engaging with you guys.

Also: if anyone else is involved in Email Marketing with Klaviyo, please reach out to me via DM!!

I'm looking for people who are dead serious in becoming ROCK STARS and want to make it BIG. If you speak German, it's an even bigger plus, so reach out.

If you have managed email marketing for 1-2 Ecommerce Stores with Klaviyo and got some experience under your belt, let's chat... just send me a message.

Alright, wish you guys a great night and speak soon.

- Had the sales call with a prospect I was supposed to close today, unfortunately he wasn't ready yet. Still needs to get the OK from his co-founders, but we agreed to do it next week by Friday... let's see.

Day #59

Pomodoro Sessions: 1
Sleep: 9 hrs

To Do's that I completed today:
- Had a strategy session and worked out a new payment model for customers depending on the revenue their store makes
- Went through my offer and compared the different service components im currently offering and evaluated them on a number of different factors. I decided 2 components arent providing that much value and its not fatal if I cut them, however, they take up a lot of time, which is why I decided to remove them completely from my offer.
- Created some operation manuals, to make onboarding clients in the future more easy, just a simple checklist to follow that will save time in the future.

@Tiago

What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my desired results?

Lets begin with a definition of my desired results:

#1 Close more Clients

#2 Provide great service fulfillment and results for my existing clients

I would split up #2 into #2a and #2b

#2a Make sure that the Flows are contributing to around 12-13% of total Revenue of the online store

#2b Make sure that the campaigns are contributing to around 12-13% of total revenue of the online store

--> This way, we are delivering +25% in Email Revenue based on the total revenue of the store for our clients. Which is great.

20% of my activities that resulted in my desired results:
  • For #1, I reached out to 47 clients this week (cold Email) to generate more strategy sessions. Unfortunately this week, I didnt generate any new interested parties. I believe that to make this method more effective, I need to follow-up more via the phone on those prospects which show higher open rates than average on my emails. Another thing I can try is to use "loom videos" rather than only text emails to reach out to these guys. Also, I did 2 linkedin posts (social selling). Obviously, linkedin is a long-term strategy so I cant really judge it or expect immediate results.
  • For #2a, I think that going over all my flows for the clients and improving Subject Lines + Preview lines and also taking a look at where in the flow open rates are dropping (bottle knecks) would make a performance difference for my clients. I havent focused on this at all yet, but I wrote it down, to do this next week.
  • For #2b, I created Email Campaigns for all my clients. It is important to make sure subject lines + preview texts are well thought-out to improve results. Also, segmentation is key.

What were the 20% of my habits that led to 80% of my success?
  • Morning cold shower + 10 minute meditation is a big one.
  • Inconsistent sleep is a Bad habit which I believe is currently strongly affecting my focus and I need to get sorted.
  • Reminding myself daily. To not Blame, justify or complain is a big habit that has extremely been pushing my results
  • Financial tracking on a daily basis is a great habit which also helps me keep overview and organized and results in success
  • Daily 30 minutes of reading, not sure how much % of success, but it is important
  • Digital Freedom: My habit of blocking whatsapp + instagram throughout the day from 6am until 6 pm. I will also add linkedin to this, since I absolutely dont need to check it on my phone. My overall screentime on the iphone is around 11 hours on average per week. This is probably one of my biggest success factors/habits.
What were the 20% of my activities that created 80% of my problems and unhappiness?
  • Too little sleep everynight, usually 7 hrs. I really need to be disciplined and go to sleep earlier.
  • Not tracking my pomodoros as rigidly as I used to, which has decreased my focus.
  • Judging prospects before jumping on sales calls and not thinking that I can sell them, because they are not the absolute ideal candidate for the service

How could I 10x my income in a way that’s fun and exciting for me?
  • Outsource designer + copywriting service fulfillment tasks and focus more on sales
  • Once I have mastered sales, begin outsourcing that too

If I could only work 2 hours per day – what would I focus on?
  • 1 hour on service fulfillment --> Creating campaigns for clients, to make sure that we can reach 25% Email Revenue
  • 1 hour on sales/leadgeneration --> Make sure that I have strategy sesssions and that im attending those calls to close people
If I could only work 2 hours per WEEK – what would I focus on?
  • I would focus on getting 2 partners: One for sales and one for service fulfillment.
  • Then, I would try to organize and just work on overall strategy and be the bridge between everyone to keep the machine running in the right direction and make sure we dont get off track / stay focused on whats essential (getting new clients + providing the right value to our clients = 25% email revenue).

What are the top 3 activities I use to fill time to feel as though I've been productive?
  • Checking Klaviyo Dashboard too often to see results, even though once per week on Sunday is enough
  • Going on more deeper analysis of competitors, to see how I could improve the service in intuitive ways, even though this is not what is needed right now. We can achieve 25% Email Revenue with plain vanilla strategies doing what everyone else is doing, it is just about focusing on the consistency and making sure that the right things are implemented consistently everyday, no need to search for new innovations.
  • Checking Emails, ticking off things on my to do list

Calendar Week 34 Update:

- 45 Cold Outreaches (E-Mail)
- 0 Strategy Sessions
- 0 New Clients Closed

Really not happy with the results this week.. but I have 3 strategy sessions lined up already for next week Monday + Tuesday so im expecting to catch it all up next week. What I noticed is that this sales stuff really does seem to come in waves/streaks.

I hired 2 leadgeneration people last week, so we will be getting much more new leads into the funnel now and I should be able to fill my calendar much better with sales calls.

What I really learnt as well, is that cold emails are useless if not followed-up with calls. Priority next week is to hit the phone twice is hard for every email that gets sent out, there is no other way to make this happen.

That's it for now.. not a big update, but not much has happened other then that I'm grinding away...

Next update on Sunday :)

For Cold Outreach, You have the prospect details right?
Record a loom video and give value.
What I am doing for FB ads is auditing the website and ads of the prospects, note down the 2-3 core pointers that will help them improve their results drastically. Record the video and give them the solutions. This is the script i use, learned from Suby Sabri Course:

Hey [First name],
[Your name] here from [X company] and I’ve just taken the liberty of putting together this short video for you.

I was taking a look at your [Website / Social Media Program / Google Adwords etc.] and while I noticed that [say something nice that they’re doing right], I also noticed that you were [diagnose problem #1] which is hurting your business because [explain why it’s hurting their business].

All you need to do in order to fix this and [achieve desired outcome, e.g. increase conversions by X%] is simply [insert solution].

Some other things I noticed are that you’re [diagnose problem #2] and [diagnose problem #3], which you can easily remedy by doing [insert easy solutions].

Now what I do is I specialize in [their specific niche] and I’ve worked with clients ranging from [name-drop a few clients they might know] to achieve massive results.
I’ve gone ahead and put together a [free offer, e.g. a comprehensive 23-point checklist / audit / blueprint] for you to improve your profitability, and I’d love to schedule 15-20 minutes of your time to walk you through it, free of charge.

So go ahead just shoot me a reply and I look forward to chatting with you soon.
Thanks

I sent 20 videos to 20 prospects, 10 watched, 5 replied, 3 hoped on call, 3 converted.

Try this with Emails? like subscribe their email sequences, see what's happening, find problems, solve them with statistics?

Big Value Bomb thanks a lot for this. Will get right started with implementation next week and give you feedback on how it went during my weekly update.
