Really is just writing 24 words in a paper and save that tiny paper like it's worth a lot of money because it will be.

Or you can also memorize 24 words and then you always carry with you the access to your money, in your brain. Ideally do both.

Perhaps use loss aversion as motivation: You could also lose your money in the bank if one day the govt says hey what are you doing in the fl forum with conspiracy theorist ? no money for you, BUM. That won't ever happen if you secure it with crypto.

Mental block: do you really trust yourself not to lose the seed phrase/somehow compromise it? I know that everyone says cold storage is the way to go but is it really that safe if you can so easily forget it/lose it/compromise it otherwise?

This is my biggest limit/mental block to invest in any crypto. I just don't feel comfortable with the idea that it's so extremely easy to lose it all and never be able to recover it.

This, plus to a lesser extent not being able to easily pass it on to heirs when I die (without compromising it when I'm alive).

I lost a few of my original ones from when I first started mining as a hobby.... So yea. Have some sort of a way to back that up.

Amazing, Lukso is down to $10 again. Meanwhile I bought in mid $20's all along.
Great question and tough decision. How about buying all three? I'm in the same spot. Those along with SOL are my biggest ones.

Do you like Solana at all? There isn't much talk about it here on this thread.

I think you are right. I feel like adding to LYXe because I too was buying in the $20 range and was happy then. It feels like a bargain at today's prices.

So far I got more of my orders for ETH filled. Will move it to trade for LYXe. My order for BTC is outstanding but didn't hit that low... Fingers crossed. December is usually a crazy month, so this is a good thing I am able to act.

Yea that's a big deal. I sold my RTFKT NFTs couple weeks ago - without knowledge of a Nike acquisition and mass hype, I thought I made a nice exit with $250k profit in NFTs. If I had held, those NFTs would be worth multiples of the $250k I made out with.

I think it's safe to say that Nike x Metaverse is no longer a speculation - they've made a public move that confirms their strategy. Their VP of Digital sits on Lukso's advisory board. Price will still be volatile, as is crypto in general, but I think the thesis of Lukso/Metaverse/MainstreamNFTadoption gains more credibility after this move.

Hmm, I trust Nike making a smart business move than most people out there.

The fact that comments like this exist still today just shows how early this space is. But I really hope this Nike acquisition shuts up a lot of people that are NOT in this space.

Don't chase green candles - If you were gonna swing you could have bought at $10 yesterday and made out with a 60% gain today. Look at the trading volume - rapid price appreciation due to low float. Could swing the opposite direction just as easily with a large sell order.

Keep your eyes on the macro overview - there is the FOMC meeting tomorrow where fed sets the tone for interest rates. All eyes on this meeting from crypto to other markets as risk-on assets will be directly impacted by interest rates.

If you're investing, sure that's one thing, but if you're just trading then you need to stay vigilant and keep a sense check on the broader market backdrop.

Just to chime in on the FOMC tomorrow, I honestly think it's going to turn out to be a sell the rumour, buy the news event. S&P is currently filling a gap, which is actually a good thing. Powell announced a potential "accelerated" taper 2 weeks ago. Market had enough time to digest what will happen if he does indeed accelerate the taper, i.e. interest rate hike sooner than originally expected. So I think interest rate hikes (3 of em) next year are already priced in.

Also, Powell was re-elected by Biden... there had to be some sort of "expectation" assuming midterms are coming up. Powell literally has to make a choice between: continued inflation or recession. Both will look bad on Biden but the latter in my opinion, will look worse.

Will be an interesting week nonetheless.

Yeah, just mostly bought a couple thousand worth to just forget about it. I don’t really trade larger caps.

It’s been crazy just did a couple x’s worth of gains with shitcoins that bounced as Bitcoin ranges here.

A good lesson to store a seed phrase in a few places (but also memorize this - I can't believe he didn't do it). Also, one of the tips is to never hide it in a place or near an item that's potentially considered trash because someone may throw it away.

You can take a metal sheet and with hit numbers hit the seed on/in the sheet.
So its fire safe. You can use several parts and hide them in different places.
Introduce your close familiar into wallet use. And the places.

One important thing : don’t share the place you hide it in a forum!

And you can spread your wealth in some different wallets.

Yes it's always a good idea to memorize it as your first resort but you should have a physical backup just in case you forget for any reason. But always memorize it also!
