AI Is Changing Everything—Does Digital Marketing Still Have a Future?

Hey everyone, I’d love to get your honest perspective.

I’ve been working in digital marketing for about four years now (mainly web design and Google Ads).
With all the fast changes in tech and AI, I’m at a crossroads:
is this still a solid, future-proof business to double down on…
or is it smarter to start learning something new?

For context, I’ve helped several local businesses generate leads through web design and Google Ads.
But it’s been getting harder. It feels like small businesses now need everything:
video content, social media, email marketing, SEO, Google Ads, and strong web design
to stay competitive, and many of them simply can’t afford that.

I enjoy the work, but I don’t want to invest more time if the industry is changing in a way
that won’t be sustainable for small businesses or freelancers.

For those of you who have more experience, how do you see the future of digital marketing?
Is it still a business worth staying in, or is it time to pivot?
