You get to decide what that means and how to do it, but it probably means getting a job. You decide whether to take care of family or not, but I'm guessing that is likely a yes also.

So get as high paying job as you can with as flexible hours as possible. You got to start somewhere, so don't be afraid to get one job, but keep looking for another better job that will fit this criteria.

Use any extra time or money you have towards building a new business. Once your business can support your family, quit the job.

Also, one thing I always asked myself when trying to decide what job or business to get into. What kind of conversations will I have everyday in this role?

I'm an extrovert. I knew I didn't want to take on the kinds of jobs that meant I'd never talk to anybody. But I also didn't want to take any jobs on where the conversations were going to be completely boring to me. As long as I'm having interesting conversations, I generally like what I'm doing for a living. This worked out pretty well for me, as I've enjoyed pretty much everything I've done for the last 25 years.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Let me think about it. Luckily I save some money for this tough time. Because of Covid situation in my city now is quite serious, it is hard to find a new job or start a business because everybody is under lockdown, waiting for vaccines. However, this is a good time to stay focus and think about all possibilities that I can do.

The news are full with negative info from around the world. Moreover, my country is suffering because can not buy enough vaccines and yet there are countries are throwing vaccines away. This world is also run by money but never show up clearly as it is now T.T

Grief is a luxury thing I can not have at this moment, I have to take action. First, I need to review current monthly expenses and try to eliminate unnecessary ones.

My city is now under lockdown, everybody must stay at home and wait for food delivery by millitary force. Covid is really dangerous, it causes heavy damage our country. I wish the vaccines will arrive soon.
In the mean time, I've been thinking about what kind of new job I should find. There are not many but still some in the market now. I asked my self: "What kind of the daily problem that I need to deal with if I take this job? Is it what I hate to make daily conversation with? Will it drain out my energy?"

Leona Ta said:

Is it what I hate to make daily conversation with?

I asked myself this question with every venture. What will I be talking about all day? Will I enjoy those kind of conversations? Or will they exhaust me?

I always advise my friends to ask themselves that question too.

I used to do it when I was looking for jobs, but even now in running businesses.

So now, even the days when I'm exhausted at the end of the day, I can still at least look back on my day and say I enjoyed myself.

Keep asking yourself that.

I understand myself is under big depression because of covid, family burden, unemployment and uncertain future. It is really helpful to me to have someone to express my thoughts and receive feedback.
I have some save money, it will give me some months to think. I will use this time to strengthen my positive energy, my mental and physical health, also consider carefully about my new direction.
Thanks again.

One person can not overcome depression alone. To do it, either receiving help from other people or finding relief from addictions.

I finally get my first shot of vaccine. Now I can only stay at home and do nothing, all the food will be provided by millitary, until all citizens of our city receive all needed vaxinated rate. T.T. Feel like stuck in time for 4 months already just because we can not find enough vaccines, and yet there are countries where people have it but throw it away.

I've got 2nd shot vaxinated, now I need to find a new job first. It will not be easy but I need one to cover basic daily expense of my family.
