just going to drop this here as an addition to the above -
If you can productize and package your AI stuff into workshops, and charge per head, you have a scalable, repeatable side hustle at least until sometime in 2027. Then you can go bigger and offer this as workshops to midsized 50-250 person orgs on AI adoption.
I am guessing this is still an amazing opportunity especially in T2/T3 cities especially branching out to the nearby burbs (which I would loosely define as most cities not NYC, LA, SF, Chicago, DFW, etc.)
with all things AI, there is a lot of noise right now. just don't be the braggart riffing on LinkedIn talking about some F*cking self-hosted complicated Qwen problem solving some random shit no one cares about. on the other hand, you also can't just be a blanket AI consultant. you need to find a lane.
The formula is pretty simple:
- Piece together an agenda for a 2-3 hour event in the biggest city near you
- Develop a target market (early stage developers, product managers, people shifting into freelancing or agency work)
- Walk them through how to use specific tooling to achieve specific outcomes: for example, building an end-to-end app with Antigravity
Other notes: you'll need to find a space. I am not sure how others are approaching this right now, but it's not hard. Hit up hotels, co-working spaces, and maybe even hotel bars or other bars. You need to get around 20-30 people...
