I'm doing the No Porn and No Fap challenge as well. Glad it's working for you!

I do feel that I have more energy when I'm retaining my semen. I'm starting to feel a bit more focused as well with work and other productive activities.
I am also doing no video games and TV/movies, but I am having problems with my TV habits (specially Netflix). Meditating and regular exercise helps a lot too.

One way it helped me was not to overburden myself with goals, perhaps two goals at one time for me was helpful. And was I have conquered (no major relapse, mostly) I feel empowered to take on more goals.

Alright. I'll focus on no fap and no porn first before focusing my efforts on no TV/movies.

Thank you for this!

21 days and counting..... 21 days is my own internal milestone, each time I hit 21 I put a mental tick.

meditating is also going well, it's been going on for like two years now actually.
How is this all affecting the rest of your life? What else are you doing? What have you accomplished within the last 2 years? Changing your personal habits must have some type of life purpose...

How is this all affecting the rest of your life? What else are you doing? What have you accomplished within the last 2 years? Changing your personal habits must have some type of life purpose...

the list
- waking up at 6:30 daily for two years, I’ve been waking up at 8 or 9am before that often times not at optimal level, due tojerking off and chatting girls up on Tinder the night before.

- a Get Shit Done list. I do much better with a written down reminder but mental one works sometimes. When I write it on paper I am amazed how much procrastination I had.

- putting down phone / social media for 30/60 minutes period. When I tried doing that I realized how hard it was, I wanted to fiddle with the phone so much I feel like chopping off my fingers, so much I had to use alarm.

- working out. I’ve been exercising since high school but it was when I started a routine and stuck to it that I see my muscle, stamina grew. The routine was simply writing down progress.

- financial freedom. Ironically I came to FLF after I achieve financial independence, I made several millions from my business but I think I lost focus and I needed to be better man and reached my next multi million, I think I am on the way. One very crucial piece missing was my ability to plan my finances else I would have squandered it and I am still learning.

- my own fear, more on this next time buddy.

I've been trying to stop charming the snake for years, but never went further than 35 days (and that was 2 years ago). Now, every 3-5 days I'm beating the bishop.

Honestly, throughout all the years I have been doing this habit, I must have cleaned out a tiny forest with all the Kleenex that was wasted, or the toilet water.

For me, cutting off just this habit and engaging in other bad habits is a big fat no, because one thing leads to another until I end up thinking about beating my meat again.

For the guys who tried apps, how have they helped you? And how do you deal with the pressure that builds up, the intense pornographic thoughts and the overall feeling that you could bust through concrete with the strength of the frequent erections after a week of not emptying the porridge?

That's interesting. Most people must make their fortune 3 times before they are able to hang on to it. That's a topic that could use a lot more discussion. You made your goal and then you fell into bad habits. Uh. And you could have lost it all and had to start over again... Talk about that moment when you knew you made it. That's the "lost" moment. I have asked many times what you do when you've climbed Mount Olympus -- what do you do then? That's the most interesting part of your thread for me.

We are in about the same shoes, I think.

My longest was 45 days, and I had many times of 3 - 5 days of nofap to go off course again....

I have since mentally told myself to reach 21 days each time, it's not always successful but at least I have a target and getting midway to 21 is always encouraging, and once I hit 21 days I allow myself to fap if I want to, maybe as a candy reward, but there are times I told myself since I am at 21 days why not 28 days, why not 35 days, usually in the increment of a week so 21 , 28, 35 days.

Actually today it's my 22nd day, so I just achieved my milestone and I am telling myself to go another 7 days of nofap to get to 28 days, and if I get there will see how it goes.

Generally it's very helpful to have a new habit to supplement the old (bad) habit. It could be getting your long dreamt off website up, it could be approaching ten girls weekly, it could be making your first $ bucks.

Thanks for being interested in my story, I appreciate that.

I made my first mini fortune in 2017 and I got into FLF in 2018. As said, I got into FLF because I didn't know how to "handle" myself better, how to get to the next mile, and of course I have a lot of question like how to manage my money, life, company etc because I am now on my next level.... so all these brought me to FLF. I don't want to wax philosophical but a person can have more unsatisfaction when he/she has newly gotten a fortune, a promotion, an upgrade in social status. The instant euphoria followed by more questions / doubts, and that's what I was.

I think it comes down to that at the end of the day. When we want to improve our diet, we don't just cut off the junk. We also add healthy food. I think when it comes to nofap, we have to be able to develop healthy relationships with women. If I was able to go out and talk to any woman I want to, provided it's not an extreme situation, I would not be fapping. Especially once I have other things going on in my life, like running a full time business, addressing mental issues that I was not aware I had like toxic beliefs, unbalanced activity in the brain, etc.

I agree somewhat but not all. I like your analogy of cutting junk food also involves having good and healthy food.

Maybe I am wrong, you seem to have an “if only”. I won’t fap if only I have women, if only i have a great life etc. you could turn it around by saying by nofaping you have time to meet more women and in turn a beneficial cycle happens.

I get what you are saying. I am not going to wait until I have the women and the business. I am still addressing a few mental and physical health issues and I am fully aware that the busier I get the harder it will be to keep fapping.

Whether I accomplish my goals or in the process of accomplishing I am certain that my mind will naturally 'forget' to hook me on porn. It's just easier to procrastinate on porn because I am busy with other things in life as opposed to fighting every day to keep myself away from it.

Some times I read post from people who managed to abstain from porn for about a year and then gone back to it full force. When I read further, all of them had no dating life or at least in pursuit of a meaningful goal. Just cutting the waste is not enough.

In most sports, you got to have offense and defense. Same for creating a meaningful life. Cut out the artificial stimulant like drugs, porns, social media addictions, and put in the offensive like creating a meaningful life, start to focus on work. The key work is FOCUS which means working on one task at a time for hours, and repeat the next day. Success will find you.

I went 97 days w/o masturbating and am currently on day 104 free from porn.

Here's a very good book on the subject called "Quit Porn and Get Rich".
Amazon.com: Quit Porn and Get Rich: The Unspoken Rule of Successful People eBook: Prescott, Martin: Kindle Store
For me, actually seeing what it does to you and associating so many of those negative things with myself and the fact that I've read Millionaire Fastlane ten times and have yet to do much more than get some ideas have helped me understand a bit more about the damage it does.

Also, per this Ted Talk, you're taking a first big step in talking about it with others:

Certainly it has changed me, just by quitting porn 1, 2 or 3 weeks each time for almost two years now. And it wasn't just noporn but also exercising, yoga, etc. Basically a whole set of defensive and offensive changes.

One thing I observed it that porn is like drug, after I porn and fap the beginning few days of abstinence is usually the hardest because the sensation still lingers....

FWIW, my longest streak is 45 days, and my current target is 16th July for a 25 days of nofap noporn target.

Why would you want to stop drinking coffee? One or 2 of these a day has been proven to reduce the chances of parkinsons and alzheimer's in later life due to the high amounts of antioxidants and polyphenols. As long as you avoid adding sugar and creamer its almost as healthy as green tea. Plus it tastes good
Was going to say the same thing, but just to correct, it is 3-4 cups a day, not 1-2.

Hi I am chronicling my challenge.

Background: I am a 35 yo entrepreneur in my 7th year of tech-hood, business are going well and expanding, and there is a chance we can be something bigger. Right now, the firm's limit is my own ability to handle the business and myself, and I've come to realize that personal discipline will be most people's demon, at least it is mine. I want to create the ultimate habit of good life.

No Porn (7th day)
This sounds perverted, but it's something I (or most men?) am addicted to, I used to surf porn almost everyday, and it was really hard to quit (I guess one doesn't quit porn). I am now on my 7th day of abstinence, the longest I've done is a little over a month. I realized by cutting porn I become sharper and clearer, and porn is not on my mind all the time. Expert says that it also improves dating life.

No Fap (7th day)
Almost like porn, and go hand in hand. So yes, I want to get rid of this habit too. I don't think I'll ever quit fap and porn fully, and that's not the point, but I want to reduce the frequency to where it is healthy and I have control over. Incidentally my best social and sex life this year was when I refused to partake in porn and fap.

Daily 30 minutes no interruption of learning
Oh man, today my phone wire broke and I can't charge my phone, that is how I ended up typing this post. Time also seems to move so slow, but so productive. I want to give myself 30 minutes of no interruption to learn something, anything. And right now is learning Spanish

Daily 10 minutes meditation (1st day)
I can't seem to "get" the zen yet, and have only remember doing it in random days. The longest I've done was about two week. I want to give it a go and really make it a habit. The least that comes out of it is that I have my day's to-do items prioritize as I can't do anything other than sit. Of course the best would be to get thoughts our of my head.

No Coffee (cured)
Contentious but I don't have addiction and find quitting easy, I am now on my second month of abstinence and I have abstained before for two months prior before picking up a few cups again.

No Facebook (cured)
F**k FB! I am done with it.

Note: I realized that the secret to creating habits is to record, record, record. Recording progress really works! Secondly, stop using the phone! at least for 30 minutes a day during learning session, or better intermittent 30 minutes without phone.
Please read easypeasymethod EasyPeasy by hackauthors .. it is the p*** version of alan carr's method.. I am also quitting this thing.. and damn.. bro we have similar habits.. i freakin meditate a lot too..but pmo keeps f*kng up my schedule.. I’ve been meditating for two years now , and I still fail at concentrating at times, I am now 5 to 10 mins daily. I am not sure I’ve gotten anything out of it, but I guess it will come to a point where I “get it”. If anything I can now sit for 10 mins without fidgeting

Recent progress: On my 23rd day of nofap.

Told myself that I'll introduce a new goal once previous ones are sufficiently address 1) quite social media 2) meditate 3) no porn/less fap 4) no coffee 5) nose picking.....

My next challenge is making sure my house is not a mess. For those that remember, I started my journey from absolute bottom to make sure I don't misplace my keys all over the house. Has anyone gone on a mission to get your bachelor pad in proper condition - clean toilet, fresh food, proper lighting, paid utilities etc....? The aim is to be clean and tidy enough that my guest feel.

What you have proposed is very good. You want to change your habits for something better - great. But if you want to achieve it and make it part of your normal life, then my advice is to do things one by one, little by little and give yourself time, without haste.

32 days of no fap and no porn. Happy with this progress as it’s my second longest period.

I have the problem of getting sucked into fapmarathon once I break the abstinence and it was the same, i porn fap once for each day three days strait. It really time wasting cos each time I did it I spent over an hour on porn.

Today I restart my next no porn no fap count again…..

After hitting 32 days I actually regressed into a five faps in five days. It happened before. Someone commented this feels like taking drugs, after abstaining you just want to go on a weekend high. Overall I am still pretty happy with progress and I don't pressure myself so much, For me, it's always trying to improve, but when I hit the road block I am not too hard on myself. Today I am on my fifth day and as always it is to reach 21 days of no fap.

Also, for things like making my bed, meditation, waking up early, coffee quit. I pretty much overcame it but occasionally still slacking so I am also not too hard on myself. I dropped facebook almost two years ago, but Twitter seems to be creeping back.

For those who remember how I started two years ago, one frustration was losing-my-keys-in-apartment level bad, my apartment now looks like a proper place. An old friend came to visit the other day and he was surprised by how organized I became. Still far from good but good from where I started.

My fitness level has also gone up, the lockdown really allowed me to focus on exercising several times a week, and writing down the reps and times of work out also gave me encouragement.

I think I have a lot of issues, and the journey is really far, but I am just quite happy that the two years have been two step forward and one step back, so forward overall.
