I am working on getting started on an online webpage to collect emails from people. I do this by first advertising an offer that takes potential buyers to my site. When they reach my site, they are welcomed by a box that allows them to put their email address in to receive special offers. With their email, I can send them special offers as well as give other companies access to this email. The other companies would now have another email adress that they can send their special offers to. If one of those companies sells them a product through the email that was sent then I can make commission. This is not a new idea, but not one that I hear of a lot of people jumping on board with. Is anyone doing this or something similar? Is it working to generate you an income? Is it worth it? If so, what is attracting people to your webpage? Thank you!

that aint gonna work well......

First build relationship with your list , then make offers, second never give your email list to others..you can promote their products, because its YOUR list of YOUR people and offers you believe they should buy.......otherwise..you will end up in spam folder, promotion email..etc...low open rate etc

I got 5k+ emails from offering a trial,

I got 5k+ emails from offering a trial, all for free. Email marketing is a great way to grow :
Thank you for your feedback. If you do not mind me asking, what kind of trial were you offering and what was required on their part to access it? I am trying to get an idea of what is sparking peoples attention enough to give a known marketing tool like an email away.

Just giving out my product to test and get some feedback on, all they needed to do was signup (by email)

Always start with free giveaways to collect email adresses..and when you have the email adresses dont start immediately to send offers. Build trust, Tell about yourself, share content. Thats the way you can turn your leads into fans and they are more likely to buy from you. i wrote a blog about this topic: skyrocket.org
