Thought I'd share my September for those who are interested, and how my money system has paid off.

The Sickness..

For almost a year, I have been feeling a bit off in my lower abdomen but not enough to see a doctor or quit working. However, my fiance and I returned from a wedding this month on Sep 4 and the pain went immediately up to a 3 or 4, I felt nauseous so saw a doctor that Friday who told me I likely have IBS or an allergy. He sent me for an ultrasound that came back with nothing. The next week of the 9th I could only bare to work maybe a few hours a day so went to get a second opinion from a doctor who sent me for bloodwork. The next week (the 16th) on Monday I followed up with him, he said nothing was wrong and to change my diet. Both doctors had told me NOTHING was wrong.

The Depression..
By this time I could not bare to get out of bed - I spent the entire week of the 16th in bed depressed, thinking I was dying, and wondering if the pain would ever go away. I've never felt so useless and helpless, I thought my years of stress as an entrepreneur caught up to me and I developed some autoimmune response or allergy that was attacking me.

The Hospital..
On Thursday the 19th my pain level was a 9/10 and I knew something was wrong, so I went to ER, and it turned out that it wasn't 'nothing'. I have a rare form of appendicitis that doesn't hit in 24 hours like usual - you develop it over months and possibly a year which is why doctors miss it. I had developed an abscess and my stomach was so irritated they could not operate. They put me in a hospital for 5 days on antibiotic drip, and sent me home to finish off the last of my antibiotics, where I spent another week in bed sick. I am not 100% but finally beginning to feel normal.

The Payoff, and Thank YOUS to you all
In September, I cannot say I did an honest day's work. Most of it I was in bed sulking or at the hospital. However, my business still profited near $10,000 and counting from global customer subscriptions. I am so blessed and fortunate for my customers, the business I've been able to build, and the automation that made this possible.

I wanted to say thank you to @MJ DeMarco , as well as all of you in this forum that I learn from everyday that made this possible. This month has given me a lot of clarity on what I spend my time on and I plan to contribute more to helping entrepreneurs achieve the same.

So good to hear you are on the road to recovery Trey. It may take some time to get 100% fit again but not having the worries about having to earn a living sure will help.

Speedy recovery mate.

Hope you're feeling better man!

A great lesson in not only the power of passive income...but in the importance of CONTROL.

If I can't work for a month then I can't get paid for a month...

Similar situation happened last July.

Head Injury caused a CSF Leak in the skull and was thus bedridden for a month and a half.

Thankfully, my one employee kept everything under control. I could barely work beyond admin (paying him, etc). But. That's when I knew I owned a passive asset.

Hoping for a speedy recovery Trey.

Thank you @RazorCut @PizzaOnTheRoof @UnrealCreative @Vegvisir for the kind words.

You're all correct, it's not the money it's about taking back control - we can never do this kind of stuff working 9-5 jobs begging our bosses for a day off.

Hey @TreyAllDay

This is so awesome and I had a similar, though much less dangerous situation when I had influenza for 2 weeks and couldn't even open my laptop.

I know no amount of money in the bank can make you feel physically better when you are laying there suffering.. But it sure will help afterwards when you are back to normal, instead of coming back to "shit I lost my job and don't have any money now".

Hope you recover to your fullest asap!

Thanks for sharing, its very important even small stories like these are shared so fellow forum members can see the successes are here and earning this kind of money while being sick is possible.

Two weeks of influenza sounds like shit.
Thanks for the kind words, recovering very well.

Glad to hear you stormed through it and still kept the income strong. Moreover, glad you are doing better. I remember I had a similar "ah ha" moment in my late twenties involving weeks in bed. Still, my income rose.

Just an FYI, I changed the thread title from Money System, to Business System. A money system is income earned from interest, dividends and investments. A business system is income from a business.

Experiences like these make you realize, there's no going back.

@TreyAllDay - I'm glad you are doing better, and that your business was automated to where you didn't get hurt financially. Including @UnrealCreative and @cy- 's examples are what I need to remind myself of - I tend to gravitate back toward everything depending on my efforts.
