Hi all!

My name is Kyle and I am a fitness professional who currently works in the public sector in Parks & Recreation. Ever since I have read TMF , I have opened my eyes to how much I hate my current job and the lifestyle that has been forced upon me by societal norms.

Luckily, my job is actually above average in flexibility and enjoyment, but it is still a job in which I am trading my time for pennies and wasting away my years.

I am very grateful to have a job that is able to assist in providing for my growing family. I am expecting my first child in a month and the consistent income is a necessity.

My goal is to leave my Full Time job within 2 years.

I will accomplish this by expanding my offerings to my niche and creating a personal brand & company brand that provides me the freedom to replace my income without being tied to a 9-5.

Fitness is a crowded space due to everyone who is "following their passion". I believe that this makes the process difficult but I am up for the challenge.

What I have done already:
  • Grown my Instagram following to 8500 using educational infographs
  • Established myself as the fitness person within my circle of family and friends
  • Started the process of creating my Super System which provides offerings to all different tiers of customers.
  • Branded and created my company, "Family Fitness Online."
Services Planned:
  • Standard Challenges: FREE
  • Membership $9.99
  • Charity Challenges: $20.00
  • 3-month programs: $149.99
  • Personalized Online Coaching: $399/month
My timeline for the roll outs:
  • October 2018 - First Free 21-day challenge runs and leads to the kickoff of 2 programs
  • November 2018 - 2 programs up and running: The Fit Millennial Women Project and Tone Mom Transformation.
  • January 2018 - First Charity Challenge.
  • February 2018 - Personalized Online Coaching Officially Starts
  • March 2018 - 2nd Free Challenge (targeting men)
  • April 2018 - 2 more programs released (The Fit Millennial Man Project and Dad Bod Revolution)
  • June 2018 - First Fitness Product Release

My goals for the month of September
  • Market & finalize my first Fitness Challenge which will start on October 1st.
  • Attain 100 Free Users for the first fitness challenge
  • Create email list and gather 200 emails from Opt-In offerings
  • Achieve 10,000 followers on Instagram
  • Secure a charity for my New Year's Fitness Challenge
Comments, Questions or Advice? Let me know! I am excited to share my journey with you.

Things that I have accomplished this week

  • Lead Magnet: Completed a lead magnet for a topic that is incredibly popular with my followers. Planning on using it as a lead magnet to follower's email addresses. First time using social media advertising for this business and will see how it goes.
  • E-mail List: Grown my email list to 100 people. I know that it isn't a lot but it is a small win that I am proud of.

Things I am struggling with

  • Program Automation: My ultimate goal is to provide affordable and automated online coaching while still maintaining the individualized program design. I am using a software that provides me with the ability but it will take A LOT of work. Working a full-time job and expecting my son to be born in less than a month means that I am working on this every free minute that I get.
  • Social Media: The more I work on my business system, the less time that I have for social media and my growth is stalled out. My weekly follower growth has dropped from 800+ to 200. Creating quality content takes time and I just don't have it at the moment and honestly, my interest in creating infographics has diminished.
  • Copy: I am not very good at writing copy but I am getting better! Been reviewing some articles and recommendations and I am honing in on this skill. For my programs, it will probably be the number 1 skill that I need to develop. If anyone has any resources to recommend then please let me know!

Completed one of my goals for the month of September! My lead magnet seems to be a hit and my email list has doubled in last 2 days. It's incredible how small wins can really energize you.

Just 3-days ago I was unsure if I would be able to grow it up to 200, and now I hit it only 3 days later. Facebook Advertising and Instagram advertising for lead gen failed miserably and I spent $60 figuring that out.

My social media post that was organic and related to the topic has been the driver of growth. My followers were much more responsive to this topic than others lead magnets from the past.

Rather than focusing on what I thought they might need, I focused on what they wanted and provided a valuable asset within that topic. Focusing on my followers has helped me to be more efficient.

September Goals
  • Market & finalize my first Fitness Challenge which will start on October 1st.
  • Attain 100 Free Users for the first fitness challenge
  • Create email list and gather 200 emails from Opt-In offerings
  • Achieve 10,000 followers on Instagram
  • Secure a charity for my New Year's Fitness Challenge

Good luck on this! I followed similar accounts like that until I realized all were doing the same thing, sharing photos of one another. It was just too much and repetitive so I kept a handful that have niche focus like nutrition, stretching, and gym fails and unfollowed the rest.
