Maybe that is why soldiers get promoted or medals based on merits on the battlefield or heroism.Great video @jon.a This is definitely a great way to look ay life.
However, Bootcamp isn’t remotely close to this. I feel like I actually got stupider at Bootcamp because the DIs tell you exactly how to do everything, down to how to put on your socks in the morning. If anything, it created mindless drones that needed to relearn basic decision making skills after we left Bootcamp.
Which actually is a good point because if we look at a human resource system, if you delegate and give your employees/freelancers the control to make decisions on their own, they can be creative and use their own time. If you handhold and micromanage every step, you have to supervise 100% of their actions and only get a literal translation of your vision.
Yep!I got a call from my old school. They want me back to teach trumpet.
I said,'Nope, I can't. The kids won't sacrifice their lunch hours and weekends to do grind work to learn the music instrument. I can't teach grindwork. It's up to the kids. They have to make that decision themselves.'
The people clap and cheer and congratulate, but they have no idea about the tough mornings and afternoons spent on that damn trumpet mouthpiece.
