Hey all,

So I've come up with an idea recently that I would like to get together with a few like minded people on the FLF forum who are actively selling products/services and would like to improve in specific areas. My goal would be to establish a group who can help each other out in tightening up their sales game through Skype phone calls or other voice chat systems.

From the opening to the pitch to the close, I think having a group of like minded individuals who can tell you where you are making errors in your sales process could be a great tool for improving and getting more confident in your sales abilities.

I wanted to reach out to those in this group, as I want to learn and rise up with others who have read MTF and Unscripted and are looking to bring value to their customers by selling GOOD products and/or services.

I am not quite sure of how I am going to create the exact dynamics of the group. I think the best place to start would be to put out this offer to those that are just starting out on their journey or those who have established themselves, but are looking to tighten up their game a little bit.

If there are others on the forum who are at the top of their game and would like to help us out that would be great too, but not expected.

PLEASE DO NOT JOIN IF:
1. You do not have a product to sell and are looking for ideas, there are plenty of other avenues on FLF to discover that.
2. You have not read "The Millionaire Fastlane " or "Unscripted "
3. You are specifically looking to sell your product and see this group as an avenue for lead generation. You can apply to the FLF Marketplace if that is the case.
4. You aren't willing to learn, be humble and work with others to improve the group as a whole.

If you are interested, feel free to comment below or PM me. I will continue to update the forum with more details as we get this group of individuals established.

This is a great idea!

If you said there's one specially you've been struggling with in regards to sales so far, what would it be?

Thanks for the support on the idea!

Honestly at this point, I would say the biggest area I have been struggling at in sales has been me! I have been the reason for the missed sales at this point for sure. However I can break it down a bit more than that:

1. I need to get stronger at creating more value for the gatekeeper and getting through to the decision maker. I am still working on this for sure.
2. I am great at talking with people who I know or for some reason in an enforcement position (weird I know?). However when I get on the phone with a random stranger, for some reason I automatically place myself in a position of lower confidence, ie. let them control the conversation. It is pretty weird in my opinion, but something I am going to solve ASAP.
3. I need to get more comfortable with objections. I need to show that our product/service is an excellent product and really get it through to them that our product will help their business without a doubt in the long run.

How about you @AndrewNC? Is there any areas that you believe that you need to improve on with regards to sales? I know that you are selling information products and it seems to be going very well ;)

I didn't generate as much interest for this as I thought and that is okay!

If anyone is interested, please let me know.

I'd be interested, maybe we can practice objection handling.

What is your time zone?

Pick up SPIN selling. Objective handling is cool and all but what about just eliminating objections in the first place.

Also, I'd be interested in joining the group. I suggest using discord, much better platform for group of people. Not to mention that skype just kinda sucks imo

I am in the Pacific Time Zone and I would be interested in setting this up @BlakeIC

I don't have crazy expectations, we are all working on things and have busy lives so even if we did it once a week or so that would be a success.

Interesting, this book has been recommended to me several times now.

Must be something worth reading, il buy it now.

EDIT: It is now on its way to my door step.

Spin selling is excellent. I already have the main book well read but I just ordered the "field guide" too this week.

If you want check out my FB group where we discuss a lot of sales related topics...
www.facebook.com/groups/makemoneywithwebdesign/

But for actual practice and direct feedback its best to keep it small. I can't post sales calls and private client info on the main group cause its easy for it to be compromised. Best to keep it tight-knit when it comes to the inner working of a deal.

Best of luck with this, stick with it a while and you will see huge improvements.

@Dunkafelics I'm interested to join! I don't have a product to sell, but not looking for ideas either. I would like to learn selling techniques and could definitely contribute as the person-who-doesn't-really-want-to-buy-anything approach during role-playing.
If you'll just be practicing pitches back and forth, I'll stay out. But if you'll be working on effectively persuading another to take action via conversation, I'm in.

@RayAndré that sounds great. I am sure we would all love someone who actively wants to refuse anything we offer him lol.

Here is what I am thinking:
1. I will create a facebook page that serves as a basis to stay updated on a group format. We could also create a discord page, but I am finding that I already fall behind in the chat text after a day or so. With a facebook page, we could have questions, talk about successes and setup events.
2. We would utilize Skype or if within the same country, a regular old telephone to make contact with one another and do our best in role-play/training situations.

I am not expecting huge commitments from anyone. We all have our lives and businesses that we are working on. I do believe that there is a serious lacking for support in direct sales when you don't work directly for a company, so if we can all help each other we will be on the right path!

+1 for SPIN selling.

Also pick up The ultimate book of phone scripts and it's sequel book ( something like 500 phone scripts ). It comes with actual scripts and examples, along with a framework.

Seems like a great idea, I am mainly selling services for customer & business but I also have a divison which sell heat pump by phone (Actually we are not selling anything over the phone but are making appointement to customer the same day, then the closer close the deal at their home.) And we are selling in french but well I suppose it could be a great way to practice and to share with the community.
