ran into a huge prick, came back from work and saw a huge group of high end cars (aventador/california/911's etc)
saw some party happening in the porsche dealership so i walked in and asked about the commotion, the front reception said its some private event when some random old guy came up to me saying i should leave...

stated i was in interested in the event and the guy just shoves me out of nowhere saying to leave...super rude..kinda wanted to give him a good shot but what would that even accomplish?

speaking of shots, excited to see mayweather/mcgregor! im taking mcgregor even tho it logically makes no sense for him to win.

no sales yet! will change some things and try again. there are similar products that are making sales so i believe my execution is simply weak.

been trying to be more self aware, bad thing for me in my real life. for my ''online brand'' cant really call it that yet i try to visualize myself as a customer and think why should i buy this? how do i feel when i buy this? aswell as visualizing my target audience.

reviewing my sale post looks kinda crappy. got a nice paycheque yesterday + another pending this friday so will those funds for advertising etc.

thinking to grow a youtube channel, never done this before although have some small sucess with facebook advertising (boosting posts) imagine it would be a similar process. i think the most important thing will be to create a loyal customer base by creating a brand that people want to associate with.. addias, nike, lululemon etc. big learning process. have 0 experience in this stuff!

one brand ive studied a bit constantly preaches inspiring quotes and feel good type talks, people that pass over cash want to feel good about themselves and forget theyre personal troubles, very important part of building a brand!

0 sales so far

first sale i think went cold not sure no response, have second person interested possibly..see where it goes.

did some photography for my product, took a picture of the beachfront and the west side/downtown side of vancouver. will be a funny story one day, the original picture is pointing at my future house in British properties, basically a secluded & private area of only the 1%. checked out the prices to rent a house up there and they range from $5-$20k.

they call that counting your chickens before the eggs hatch?

just a funny story, not an update. had a client i pitched for $25, trying to increase my price and said client declined my offer, so i quickly repitched for $15 lowballg myself and he accepted....after he payed with a $20 asking for $5 change lol. i said i only have a $10 so he GIVES ME $25 AND asks for a $10 back...ha!

done this a few times at an old sales job i had..repitched at a lower number and would close...best one i had was getting a solid *NO* 4 times in a row & then closing that person.
What am I missing here? You didn't get $25. You got $15. Why are you saying "ha!" like you tricked him into paying you $25?

You mentioned several pages back that you pretended to be an interested client and got a quote for $80 for a lawn job, right? Why can that guy charge $80 and you can't even get $20?

If your value for mowing lawns is that these extremely wealthy people feel sorry for you, you're going to have a difficult time making anything substantial. As you've said, these people have a ton of money. They spent a fortune on their house. Don't you think they'd be willing to spend MORE money to ensure their house looks fantastic? It's a status symbol. Don't frame your offer as "they don't care if they spend $20" - frame it as "they'd be happy to spend $150/wk to keep their house looking great, and I can do that for them."

Also - you printed out 6,000 fliers... have you ever asked one of your recurring customers to refer you? Say you'll give them a free mowing for each person they refer. Word of mouth is how you get new clients in a business like this.

not sure, i thought it was quite ridiculous to charge $80 for something that would take me personally less than an hour, they did have two people though. and it was a different area (kitsilano vs burnaby)

the person i did a lawn for $15 i thought was a silly situation imo, he did have $25 cash on him and was reluctant to pay $10 extra so i low balled mid pitch. after as i said he paid me $25 and then asked for $10 back..just a funny situation in my eyes! anyone that owns a home in vancouver is a paper millionaire, maybe he was a renter ^_^

haven't gotten referrals unfortunately. just generally scouted out areas in a few different neighborhoods and would cold approach/pitch crappy looking lawns.

onto bigger and better things now! focusing on product sales, i have an item i believe can be successful, there are similar items on amazon that have 1k+ sales so i think im onto a big thing now. :hilarious:

Wait... are you still mowing lawns?

ah sorry didnt notice this! im not putting effort towards it anymore did have a client ask for a recut so in that case i wont refuse work, just wont chase it anymore. focusing on product sales. after i make a single sale i will continue to purchase more inventory and the plan is to snowball.

This is a mindset issue. Of course he can afford $25. To him, you're not worth $25.

You need to stop thinking of rich people as having money to throw around because they don't care. They have that amount of money because the recognize what is valuable, and they DON'T burn money on useless things. In fact, they're probably very mindful of their spending. Stop expecting free money from rich people, and start providing value that they would be happy to spend money to receive. That mindset will serve you well when dealing with people at every income level.

totally overlooked something, theres a tab of viewed by xxx people on fb marketplace, i have 2 facebook accounts,

one profile had 236 views, my product.
the other 183 views

thats 419 eyes and 3 enquirers, about 1% ''acquisition'', no idea if thats a good or bad number but it crosses my mind the value in my product / pricing

instinct says to lower price a bit more? not sure, see how i do over the next few days.

reading through loris book and i came up with the idea of creating a sponge, its possible to make millions and retire early.............

just kidding, on shark tank lori invested in a product called Sponge Daddy, revenue was $15.000.000! wow! went to the store a few minutes ago to hold the product in my hand, it retails for $15. amazing how a simple product can make you a ******* millionaire holy geez.

will have to review my product, no sales as of the past week....either my product sucks or is priced to high. considering a price drop?

What do you mean retail value is $60? why would anybody pay $80 for it if the retail value is $60?
