Hey Laverdure, Firstly congratulations on turning your life around. As someone who has battled depression I know how easy it can be to just say F*ck it and not get out of bed and face whats really going on. Yours is a pretty incredible story given the amount of time that you were able to turn things around in so Kudos!

When first learning about CPA and online marketing what were some of the online resources you used to educate yourself? Eskil mentioned IMGrind and Wickedfire as an example. Are there any others you would recommend?

Eric Thomas is awesome btw, love his intensity.

+1, I've looked at both them resources as well, IMGrind has some great PDFs on there, WickedFire has a great thread summarizing Cashvertising but most of it seems to have little value.

I'm going to get these books, are they any good? Is there any other must haves that I should read? any good affiliate/media buy/demographic study books I could get?

You're absolutely right, was just thinking having some sort of framework 1st would surely be beneficial.

How did you find IMGrind Craig? Is it worth the $100 per month in your eyes?

put action .. you'll learn more

I understand that taking action is infinitely more valuable than just reading information, but i didnt even understand what CPA marketing was until i read this thread and did some researching on my own. The framework that Craig mentions is what im after aswell. Without it i may aswell go and play the slots, actually i'd have a better chance of a return doing that rather than taking action on something i still really know nothing about.

A friend and i were having a few drinks the other week at the casino when he decided he wanted to try poker. I gave him a breakdown on starting hands and rough overview on table position for about 10 minutes.
He ended up losing a small amount but he sat at that table a whole lot longer than he wouldve had i have just said, jump in and see how you go.

It's called Beer and Pancakes. MJ + Zen + a whole bunch of other great minds, all together sharing their ideas. Tickets will go on sale whenever the guys get the conference organized (but if history is any indicator, it'll be around Sept/Oct time)

I'm not missing it next year.

But as Laverdure said, knowledge will only get you so far. Go out and DO.

It's a great inspiring thread.
I am contemplating using media buying to get traffic to my new site. If it works for companies to pay affiliates for conversions and it makes sense for affiliates to invest money to channel traffic to advertisers, it should make sense for me to send traffic to my own website. Am I right?

Absolutely so long as it's targeted traffic and you're not just wasting dollar on low quality CPM.

My respect + speed to you - really, no many guys are ready to risk with their hard earned money to jump in same venture.

Amazing thread! Thank you to share your story with us.

Z post made me understand perfectly the whole model of CPA.

Now I'm doing some searches to find some great traffic source and explore their interest! I really like this model of business.

Chris Left my office today.

He stopped by for a few days since he was traveling in the states, and decided to come visit.

I really enjoyed him him in the office, and had a great time hanging with that dude.

Guys, if you get a chance, this guy is another up and coming fast-laner in a BIG way.
Pay attention to this one.... the force is strong... :)

Chris, dude, thanks for the pen, Thanks for stopping by, and next time, we will make it up the tram. :

Seems Chris doesn't have any time to answer on the questions in his own topic.
What that i've understood no one of fastlaners started from ZERO. All they had money for starting.

If you read the post directly above yours, it appears that the OP is traveling internationally. He has answered several questions in this thread.

Most of the Fastlaners I have met personally from this forum all started with zero or near zero.

Ok, I'll be back to this forum with my own successful story. And I'll answer on every question if someone asks me for.

Uhhh, it would be easy enough to become a fastlaner for me in the USA.

Good luck to all.

The internet makes your location irrelevent these days. I'm in Europe yet make sales in America.

If you've got no marketing budget, start off with twitter based marketing. Don't spam, but help people in your niche and they'll follow you. Then you can start marketing to them. Plenty of tutorials and advice with 5mins in Google.

Everything is easy in America. You don't even have to work! Just print some business cards.

He's too busy printing money?
So..what you're saying is..you have no ability to make a single $(unit of currency)? Why are you at 0? I'm sure many started without money handed to them..they went out an made it.

Seize opportunities whether in business or employment and you will not be at 0.

I didn't say it's easy for everybody; I said it'd be easy for me. It's so easy to sell anything to americans. I make sales without a bank account, a company, and my English is bad. But most of my packages I ship to the USA.
Sorry, but most of americans like working HARD and not SMART.
Oh, yes, just print some business cards and then spread them for a little fee. They will go well because they aren't FREE. Hahaha.

You'd probably be a billionaire if you only lived in America. Selling to Americans is really easy. You just have to convince them you have something they need. Boom. Millions.

Now in YOUR country, I can see why you are not a millionaire. Too hard. But in America? You could do it. So simple.

Fastlane it's not about making some money. It's about making big money in short time.. Really i don't get what you were gonna ask.
