Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulfate) are a very low cost but highly effective means of providing fuel needed by much of the human body. Magnesium tablets are a waste of money because ot the low absorbtion rates. To avoid any laxative effect, soak as much of your skin as possible in a solution of epsom salts.

Absorption through the skin which is the body's largest organ is by far the most effective method of having a sufficient intake of magnesium.

Magnesium Sulfate is more widely used in therapeutics than Magnesium Chloride, but the jury is still out on the question of toxicity. I often soak in Magnesium Sulfate and have noticed no unpleasant side effects.

Besides oxide, the pills are plenty bioavailable, there is hard data on this. You can also sometimes feel an acute effect when taking magnesium so somethings happening.

I think its a tough sell to get everyone taking a magnesium filled bath everyday vs taking a couple pills.

The method I use is to soak my feet in a rectangular bucket containing enough fluid to reach my ankles. I do this while sitting at my desk.

Not sure why this stuff infuriates me. Likely because I know the average writer is struggling and not financially free.

Meanwhile on the front page of Goodreads you don't have to work hard to find 9-figure authors who continually receive billions in free publicity.

The rest of us?

Pay us $99 so you can giveaway your book for FREE.

Yes, you read that right.

In order to giveaway your book for FREE and LOSE money hand over fist, pay us $99 for the privilege.

F*ck these guys.

That sucks, so is Goodreads worth it or not? I'm just about to publish.

I've seen some other forums but I thought GR was the one.

I guess I don't have a preference in fiction yet because the number of fiction works I read can be counted on one hand (The Alchemist, The Fountainhead, Snow and parts of Atlas Shrugged). That's one reason I sought some recommendations. But I know what I DON'T want to read - horror and gore.

I've read a couple of books (one was "The Alchemist" and another was just "Alchemist"), both quite different to each other, both enjoyable, I suspect there are a few of that title. I also don't like horror - I've read a few because sometimes I'll buy a pile of books (or get them for free) and there will be something of that type in there, and I'll give it a go because I won't know if I like it otherwise. I spend too much time walking alongside fields and hedges after dark, with random things making little noises in them, to properly enjoy scary stuff.

I'm familiar with the name Tom Clancy ('Splinter Cell' games) but didn't knew he was an writer.

Interesting view - to me he was an author first, and I'm vaguely aware his characters have been featured in some games. He's the man behind "Jack Ryan", novels to start with, and more recently a few films and now I believe there's a TV series. Passed away a few years ago.

OK, I understand that you can't afford to pay these experienced entrepreneurs to make your business explode.

What I don't get though is why not take the 0.84 BTC prize and use that money to fund the other offers?!

You're so lucky for winning Andy.

And your luck is just about to get even better! I've seen many people on youtube offering to DOUBLE you crypto FOR FREE!

It's like the best offer since the Nigerian Prince business opportunity.

My mum -...you could make your own mayonnaise.
Me - That'd be cool, I could start selling some too...
My dad - NO YOU CAN'T YOU NEED A LICENSE
My mum - Why would you sell it, it costs nothing to buy.
Me - You really don't get it, do you?
"But mayonnaise isn't a nEw iDeA"

Don't worry, you can think and execute on a higher level while still loving and accepting normal friends and family.

You don't have to abandon all the people you love just because they don't think a certain way. There are a lot of noobz who seem to think this is the only answer.

LOL at this one. We all know that licenses are impossible to get. I wonder how you guys drive around legally?

Yep, no one ever made money on mayonnaise. It’s just charity that it’s on the shelf. Hellmans just puts it there out of the goodness of their own heart. Not all heros wear capes.

It's just that my dad has the reflex to find every excuse imaginable not to do stuff lmao. I don't need a license to sell food in Belgium, just the authorisation of the food agency. It's not too hard to get.

And that's my mum's mindset.

I make more money than my parents just by writing online, and that's purely based on mindset.

I have tried to teach them, but they'd rather consume less rather than produce more :(

That's what decades of conditioning do to you.

I just wanted to express the animosity we get when we try to fend on our own as I suspect it's universal rather than unique : D

It is absolutely universal. My own father has been a business owner for decades and he STILL has a defeatist attitude towards every new idea and thing I have ever done or mentioned. Part of growing up for me has been to stop looking for his advice and to lean into what I know to be right and smart and dive into it!

People are always going to be wary of your ideas! Even the super obvious ones, that have worked for thousands of years.
"Hey let's rent out this piece of property. "
"I dunno man, has anyone ever made money doing that before?"

What people don't realise is all the hurdles they see are actually the stepping stones.

You can't do it.

Why not?

You only have 7 hours a day to do the work.

Oh, so I could scale if I increased the 7 hours to 70 hours?

Yes, but it's physically impossible for one person to work 70 hours in a day.

Oh, so I'd need to hire 10 people?

Yes, but you'd need to charge more to be able to hire 10 people.

Oh, so ... (blah blah blah)?

Yes, but ... (blah blah blah).

Repeat till you've laid out the steps to reach your goal.

Me: Dad, I'm going to visit this MMA gym to pitch our live broadcasting business.
Dad: Who's going to be your crew? Who's going to operate the cameras? We don't have business card. We need license.
Me: (On my mind) I hate you dad.

Few weeks later, after broadcasting the gym's MMA tournament as free demo.

Me: Dad, remember the cameraman we met that day? I gave him a price quotation in case he needs to rent our broadcasting equipment.
Dad: (Starts panicking) Oh my God! What have you done? We can't bear the cost if the equipment broke down.

The fact that my dad's broadcasting equipment was lying down, unused for most of the time.

One of the most powerful forces that compel people to act is the opportunity to increase their status.

Edit:
This explains why luxury brands sell a finite number of items as too many of them would decrease the brand's status.
This brings me to a different thought:

Can the same be applied to services, more specifically services that one would not associate with luxury.

Like how would one make the Bugatti of homeservices?

Yes. Dress your employees in fancy clothes and charge 5X more :D

That's literally what a Bugatti is.

Eg: Putin ordered some Italian hand-made furniture for his palace that was so expensive that prices aren't disclosed on the website.

The furniture isn't the status symbol. The price is.

It's not about "wow, your furniture looks nice!"

It's about "wow, you can afford this furniture"!

Is this "normal"? Or is this a freak result?

I mean do you, @MJ DeMarco , get lots of emails like this? Because it seems to me that this guy went from zero to $34m in about four years and to my mind that seems incredibly fast by any measure.

Maybe I don't understand the Fastlane well enough.

Everyone has their own path to take...and their own strengths and weaknesses.
Don't worry too much about that.

Work on the habits that bring you progress.

Personally I don't diss freelancing as an obstacle to the Fastlane, the same way I try not to diss 9-5 jobs.
It is just a model for providing value with expertise that you possess-- and you can convert it to other avenues too like productivized services or even commissions/royalty.

Like I said, people find their different ways to learn and master business, marketing, people skills and anything else required for Fastlane.
