Just like the title suggests;

I've already uploaded a video that's gonna talk about the main points(see below), but I'm going to write some key points here for those of you who don't have the time to watch the whole video. I'm doing this because I keep getting requests and messages on my Quora page, so I've decided to publish this video here because I know you're a better audience and you will take more action than fellow Quorians. This

This is all about getting organic growth on Instagram with more followers. No fake followers or automation was involved here or in any pictures whatsoever. Just skills, and and a little bit of luck.

So, let's get to the point.

Just gonna put these images to show that I'm qualified to talk about this:

IMG_9273.PNGIMG_9276.PNGIMG_9275.PNGIMG_9271.PNGIMG_9266.PNGIMG_9267.PNGIMG_9268.PNGIMG_7461.PNGIMG_7459.PNG

Also had one smoking hot Colombian model who I believe got about 300k-350k account reached from one photo alone, but her picture got deleted because it violated Instagram's "terms of service" when you can find half naked girls everywhere on the platform which I find ironic. But that's beside point. Here's the real meat of this:

HOW TO GROW YOUR INSTAGRAM TO 10K FOLLOWERS OR MORE IN LESS THAN 90 DAYS,

Key points =>

1. Market Research.

You need to see what works and most importantly, WHAT doesn't work on Instagram. No need to try and revolutionize the app. This app is over 10 years old and there are successful accounts on here. Model what they do. It's just like if I wanted to learn how to play Basketball. Am I gonna learn from my lazy friend who "thinks" he knows Basketball or Michael Jordan? Quite obvious.

See what type of content your best competitors are using; Are they using more Reels than normal posts? What's the ratio? Is it 3:1? Or 4:1? If they do post, how often? Do they respond to their comments? How long are their videos? What type of posts do they use? Black images? White images? Zebra images? Purple images?

How many hashtags do they use? 15 or 20? Or none? Maybe they use 25 and up?

Write it down and analyze at least 20-30 BIG competitors. You'll start to see patterns as to WHY they're successful VS small 100 follower accounts, who may only have 1 or 2 out of 25 traits.

2. Content
Directly tied to the first one. Videos on average perform much better than photos. Why? a) Way more engaging. People are more likely to click on a video, especially if it's a good thumbnail(bad a$$ car, thirst traps from girls, omg or wow type of thumbnails etc.) and b) videos have something called watch time, which is a very critical metric that algorithms use to see if a piece of content is valuable or not. Which is why podcasts, vlogging and all this stuff is so popular today. Plus, they can milk the cow even more. Longer formated videos => more potential for ads => More $$$$.

3. Consistency
You need to post at least once or twice a day, especially if you have less than 5k followers. Consistency is king. If you can post 3-4 times a day, there's a high chance you'll blow up in the hashtag page/s or the explorer page, sometimes both(happened to our accounts). And last, but not least:

4. Networking
Try to collaborate with other accounts in your niche/industry. Not that impactful when you're small, but really works once you're in the 10k or 20k followers range. Helps massively once you're at 100k and up.

I'll go in depth for each subsequent point in the next couple of days here on this thread.

Here's the video:

If you got any specific questions related to Instagram that you'd like me to answer or cover in the next video/s, then message me here or comment below! Cheers fellas.

This post is going to be about the most important point of growing a successful Instagram following. Can you guess what it is? (Drumroll….) Market research!

Why is market research so important you may ask? Well, I’ll tell you why. Just like success leaves clues, success on Instagram leaves clues too. There’s no need to try to ”reinvent” the wheel by beating your head against the wall so to speak and waste 10 years of your life to see what actually works vs what doesn’t. A smart man once said: ”A wise man learns from others’ mistakes”. Don’t get me wrong, you’re gonna make mistakes in your journey but you want to avoid the ”big” mistakes that can either get you bankrupt, divorced, sentenced to jail or get 100lbs overweight that can alter the trajectory of your life completely in a negative way.

Instagram is over 10 years old and there’s lots of successful accounts to study that you’d like to emulate and get to their level(or higher if you’d like to).

Are there exceptions to the rule? Of course. Just like in any industry. If your name is Kim Kardashian, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande or LeBron James on Instagram, then you don’t have to think about these things. Everyone already knows your name.

But for you and I, and 99.999% of people reading this, you need a strategy, a proven plan to reach a certain goal. Just like how MJ is teaching you his proven wealth-building strategies with C.E.N.T.S and business systems, to ensure that you build a successful fastlane business.

Enough with the rambling, let’s dive into the real meat of this:

For those of you who are visual learners, watch the full video below that goes in more detail.

ACTION PLAN

Note: This is going to take work. Expect this to take you 4-6 hours to complete. When you’re doing this, only do market research for one niche. If you’re in the fitness niche then only analyze fitness accounts. If you’re in skincare then skincare. Or if you’re in beauty then only analyze beauty accounts etc.

1. Create a new excel spreadsheet(if you don’t have excel installed just use Google Sheets).

2. In your spreadsheet, create different categories at the top for things like Name/Handle, Niche, Size, Average likes, Average comments, link in bio, style of content etc (see picture below). Here’s a picture of one of my old market research spreadsheets to simplify things:

Skjermbilde 2022-10-15 kl. 14.45.55.png

Skjermbilde 2022-10-15 kl. 14.46.17.png

3. Go on Instagram and look at the best competitors in your niche. ONLY STUDY THE BEST. Study accounts that have at least 100k followers minimum. Then fill the data from each cathegory in your spreadsheet for each individual account.
BONUS TIP: Once you’re done studying one account, just click on this little button here that will show a bunch of similar accounts of similar sizes.

Skjermbilde 2022-10-15 kl. 16.36.30.png

Skjermbilde 2022-10-15 kl. 16.36.45.png

4. Do this for at least 20-30 accounts MINIMUM. The more you do it, the more your brain will start to see patterns. This will take you 4-6 hours of work. It's boring yes, but absolutely necessary.

This video will go a little bit more in depth.

In the next post I’ll talk a lot more about content and some powerful reach tactics that will help you out tremendously when it comes to expanding your reach organically, without spending any money on ads. Of course, it’s going to help if you have a budget and can do both then you might grow to 50k-100k within 3 months. I haven’t seen anyone talk about one strategy in particular anywhere on the internet(besides my mentor) so you guys are in for a real treat!

Was thinking of only writing it first but some people find it easier to comprehend video messages. But yeah, videos are good too!

Third part: Content.

As they say, content is king. Doesn't matter how good your distribution strategy is with hashtags, influencers, ads or whatever to grow you even faster, content is the facilitator for growth on Instagram. Just like when planting a seed to grow a forest; your foundation is the most important. You got a floppy foundation when building an apartment building it's gonna fall at some point. However, if your foundation is very strong, it's probably gonna stay there for generations to come.

As always, full video will be uploaded below.

So, what are some content strategies?

1. Infographics
2. BPPs
3. IGTV
4. Reels
5. Instagram Stories/Lives

I'm not gonna get too much into each of them as that can be a 10-20 minute video for each on its own. But the most important thing is BPPs or "Best performing posts". Why? Study success. See what's already performing extremely well and just repost it on your account OR create your own version of it. Again, this is a little difficult to explain via text so make sure to watch the video below. What kind of CTA(Call to action) do these videos/posts have versus their typical post? Why do some photos/videos have 3x-4x the amount of engagement?

Reels and videos are also good and perform better than a normal post because they demand more attention, especially if you got a clickbaity title with a good thumbnail to begin with. Videos are also good because they have something that's called watch time and watch time is a very important metric that people don't think about when they think of Instagram(YouTube also tracks watch time). But IG keeps a track of each accounts' individual watch time so try to make it better each time.

Let's say you're a fitness coach and you help people lose weight. But instead of just posting regular content, one day you decide to post one infographic, it's been proven to go viral and boom it gets 3x-4x the amount of ENGR(likes and views + comments)! Which is why infographics tend to go viral as well because even if your audience spends an extra 5-6 seconds on your post vs your typical post(which may have a watch time of 0.7-0.1 seconds), it's a night and day difference for the algorithm. It tells Instagram that your piece of content is valuable and people love it more than your competitor, who may only have an average watch time of 1 second, hence they're gonna promote that content organically either through hashtags(if you include them) or through the explorer page, sometimes both if you really go viral.

Make sure to watch the video to really understand how important this is. Much better to comprehend the details in video with this one!

I am legitimately having PTSD flashbacks from trying to make organic IG growth.

Some great stuff here, but I do have to wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze. I'm probably being a bit too defeatist about it. I did find there was a disconnect between what people can afford to do with time creating content, money for a consultant or SMM, and the return in the end. Followers don't equal dollars.

Personally if I needed social media for my biz and it was suitable I'd just post to show I'm a real biz, plenty of off the cuff stories, minimise time spent on production of content, and just use influencer collabs.

My hat is off to you though if you can make legit awesome organic growth (without wanting to shoot yourself too!).

Thanks or posting this up.

Let's say someone does one solid reel a day - what work around that one reel can/should be done to give it the best chance of success?

Maybe you will be covering this soon anyway.

I have seen many accounts blow up with just one daily reel, and I am curious about what else they might be doing.

Yes that's true. Instagram is getting harder and harder to grow as the years go by. It will probably eventually reach a flat line like Facebook in the next 5 years or so, which is why they're promoting IG shops and stores so much on the platform. They want to milk the cow as much as possible.

Heck, do you remember how easy it was to grow on Facebook? Man, back in 2012-2013, the hottest girls that I know(and some of them are still hot) usually got like 400-600 likes on average and over 150-200 comments per picture. Now they struggle with getting 100-150 likes!

Especially since Meta took over, the app has gotten more strict and annoying(particularly with the selfie verifications) in some ways.

That's true. Followers don't always equal dollars. There are some people out there who have millions of followers and they haven't made a dime yet. Plus they charge 20$ per promo post which is stupid since they could easily charge at least $1000 per post since their reach is so wide. They don't know how to monetize their following.

And, a girl having many followers is not the same as a guy having a bunch of followers. I recently heard that a girl who has 250k organic Insta followers is the equivalent of 10k on a guy's page, which explains a lot of things, the ratio is 25x higher on the girls' side.

Plus, the girl who has 250k and especially if she's half naked in many of her pictures, her main followers are mostly guys or simps. Believe it or not, not many girls follow random supermodels on Insta.

And when a guy has 10k followers or more, it's usually because he has value to provide besides just being pretty with nice titties and a big a$$. So their target audience is totally different.

There are also some consultants who have less than 2k followers, but are making really good money, usually $20k-$30k a month, because people who follow them are their ideal clients. So if they're let's say a fitness coach helps fitness trainers sell more courses for men over 50 with dad bods(because most likely older people are lonelier, fatter + have a higher purchasing power than let's say a 20 year old guy, who probably has less overweight problems) so it's easier to sell them on a $1,997 or $2,497 course that's specifically tailored for their needs.

Plus, it also depends on your TAM. If you're in flipping luxury estates, what's your realistic TAM on Instagram? Less than 20k-25k? Whereas if you're helping estheticians, then your target market is in the tens of millions, so you're likely to grow much faster if it makes sense.

There are also some different tactics to grow your account besides just doing influencer collabs that not many people talk about. I might do an episode on that today.

question, will it work in every niche? Or like you said, best to grow only for visual niches?
It will work for most niches. But again, the more visual your niche, the better. Niches like beauty, fitness, dentists, exotic cars, sports or anything that's visual and is popular will perform well on Instagram.

Even if you're in a very blue collar type of industry like car repairs. You can still find ways to grow an account like that really fast.

Yes, I can do a video on that as well because the content part should be divided into two videos since there's content and then the distribution part of content with different tactics.

I'll cover some effective ones that we've been using in the past/now and some new ones that I've just learned from my mentor who are also proven to be very effective.

You know what, your post actually reminds me of a common misconception about Instagram; You do not need a lot of followers to monetize your following. Might cover that one as well in the next video.

It's just an excuse for people to never start!

could you also talk about how to determine if an account has real vs fake followers? since a lot of accounts can just buy fake followers for clout purposes, so what kind of metrics can we measure to see if that is not the case? thank you!

Alright,

today's post is ALL about content distribution.

If you haven't watched yesterday's video/post, make sure to watch it. This one is directly tied to content because here we're gonna give you guys some great exposure/growth tactics to really accelerate the growth of your Instagram account. Some of them you may be familiar with from previous posts while some may be unknown to you.

Here are the main points:

1. Hashtags
2. Reels
3. Respond to comments
4. IG Stories + IG Lives
5. Influencer Engagement
6. Shoutouts
7. Engagement groups

ALL OF THEM ARE GONNA BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE VIDEO BELOW. It's a 17 minute video so if you don't have the time to watch then just read the main sub-points for each point.

Free methods:

1. Hashtags. What's important here is that they're
-They must be related to your niche
-Have a systematic balance. You don't want to use hashtags that are too big AND you also don't want to use hashtags that nobody is search for. Like seriously, do you think you're gonna rank on the hashtag called "dogs" when Ariana Grande uses that hashtag for her new dog? NO! Ideally you should have a small-medium-big hierarchy for your hashtags. More explained in the video, just skip to minute 8 if you want to get a more thorough guide on them.

2. Reels.
-Amazing if you want to grow ridiculously quick
-Make sure your reel is actually interesting, engaging, clickbaity and has a very good background. It's all marketing ladies and gentlemen.
-Can use cool soundtracks too to "reach" even more people. Especially if the soundtrack is popular
-Text on reels seems to perform extremely well. Give it a try. Particularly with educational posts.
-Very important for watch time.

3. Respond to comments
-Very obvious, but almost no one does it. Even if you only get 5-10 comments per post on average, your average comments per post is now 10-15 instead of 5-10 because you respond to each. What's better is if you can ACTUALLY start an interesting conversation in the comments, that's very important to Instagram as well. The more time your audience spends on your video/post, the better.

4. IG Stories + IG Lives. Again, it's all about engaging your existing audience and giving that hungry son of a bitch called Instagram what it wants. All about building your engagement and improving your watch time. Almost no accounts really do IG lives SO THAT'S A BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU! Very important for boosting your watch time tremendously. Plus, IG stories and lives have your audience's full attention. Stories have scarcity and urgency embedded into them so people are way more likely to watch them vs scroll through your recent posts' section.

5. Engagement groups.
Basically, you are congregated with the same accounts in your niche(usually 20-25 accounts+) who are interested in growing together. Recommend using Telegram for it since IG has been very strict with engagement groups lately. Have used them in late 2020/ early 2021s but not in 2022. But back then you could grow fairly quickly by using them. DO NOT USE THEM ON IG ITSELF. Instagram can track those messages and they're not stupid.

They're also called Telegram groups and can be super effective, particularly when you're small and want to get some engagement on your account quickly.

6. Follow for follow(NOT MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO). Follow for follow is a very popular method to gain your first followers. AND Yes, it is a good way to get your feet wet and gain your first couple of hundred of followers, it's not recommended past that point. Why? Instagram may categorize your account as a bot and flag you multiple times, and then your F*cked forever with your reach. It was a good way to grow back in 2016-2020 but now since Meta took over, they're really strict in tracking bots and making sure the creators are ONLY using legit ways of growing their following. So no, I would not recommend it. Have done it before but it's a very risky strategy, so be careful with it. If you are doing it to get gain your first 100-500 followers, then follow 10-20 people MAX per hour. And when doing it, wait a two or three before you follow the next person, that way the algorithm won't detect your spammy behavior and consider you a bot. BE CAREFUL WITH IT! Instagram has one of the most sophisticated algorithms that's out there, run by hundreds of very smart programmers who are working on the app daily and you seriously think you can outsmart them?

Paid strategies:

7. Influencer/s engaged with your account.
What you do here is pay one big account (usually over 100k followers) to like, share and comment on your stuff. Works ridiculously well when you're small because when a big account engages with you, it tells Instagram that a high authority account has liked your post, so there's a high chance it's gonna be shown to that account's followers' feed. You can do this many big accounts too. Have never really used it personally(although I had a couple of accounts who did that for free and it worked quite well).

8. Shoutouts. Usually done via stories but can be done with posts as well, especially if they already have a very engaged audience to begin with. Works excellent for personal brands and accounts of any sizes. If you already have a big account, you can offer shoutouts to other big accounts for the same thing. If you don't have any money, just offer them some value. Maybe you can do their content? Maybe you can create them a logo for free? Be creative!

Here's the full video(it's a little all over the place but make sure to watch the whole thing to really understand all the points in full detail):

Alright,

today's post is ALL about content distribution.

The more time your audience spends on your video/post, the better.

could you also talk about how to determine if an account has real vs fake followers? since a lot of accounts can just buy fake followers for clout purposes, so what kind of metrics can we measure to see if that is not the case? thank you!
You can do that by doing a couple of things:

1. Ask them for a screenshot of their story views(first picture). If you look at the number 336 on this picture, this is the total amount that saw this post, with 79 voting for the Veyron and 80 voting for the enzo. These numbers are very difficult to fake. Your total story views should account for around 10-15% of the total follower amount on an individual account that your looking at. This account had about 3.5k-4k followers at the time so this is just about right. Keep in mind, the more the account grows, the larger the disparity between of the view percentage vs your followers ratio.

2. Ask them for a screenshot of their popular post/s(second pictures). Fake likes and comments can be bought, but if you dig deeper into statistics like total amount of shares and reach, these are also difficult numbers to fake by 3rd party apps. No data about reach on this since it wasn't an influencer/business account yet so that data is inaccessible for this particular post. But look at the next ones, particularly the accounts reached section. Or ask for a screenshot of their accounts reached in the statistics if they have an active account. That will give you a clue.

IMG_7461.PNGIMG_7459.PNGIMG_9269.PNG

3. You can also take a look at their engagement rate (%). Accounts that have a very low engagement rate, particularly with less than 5k-10k followers are usually fake. Because smaller accounts on average have a far better engagement rate than let's say an account with 500k followers. This is a good metric before to research before buying an account OR paying for a shoutout/sponsored post. A website I've used in the past is this one => Instagram Engagement Calculator | Phlanx . It's great for calculating and determining if an account is legit or not.

Ok, last post from this 4 part series. Looks like people aren't really that interested in growing their Instagram pages(based on the feedback) so this post gonna include the last 2 parts that we haven't talked about yet.

And they are:

3. Consistency and
4. Network

Gonna talk a little bit about both. And as always, there's a video below that explains things a little bit better.

-Consistency

As most of you probably know, consistency + doing the right things is what matters the most on your journey to success. Again, consistency with doing the right things is what's gonna get you to your end result. Life is all about cause and effect. You start working out and eating less, guess what's gonna happen? You will lose weight! Or you start working out + you more protein rich foods at a surplus? You will build muscle! Plain and simple. I don't get why people make it so complicated!

Same deal goes for Instagram. Make sure to post at least once a day. Doesn't matter what it is. I already gave you the blueprint for success on Instagram, that's been proven to work over and over again. The more you post, the better results you'll have. Some accounts who are already very big do not necessarily need to post that frequently since they already have a lot of traction and engagement on their accounts which means they'll have more success by doing less but they're already in the 0.001% of accounts.

My mentor always used to say: "Think about getting 1% better everyday". And by the way, shoutout to the @fastlane_dad who gave me some killer advice recently! He's one of the most legit guys on the forum. Just by the way he talked to me, I knew I was dealing with a very experienced. Sometimes a short conversation with someone can alter the trajectory of your life and this is it.

Some other guys like @NeoDialectic, @MJ DeMarco and @G_Alexander are also very legit 8-figure fastlaners and you should listen to their business advice. Don't listen to my business advice, I'm not a multi millionaire yet but will be in 2-3 years so listen to other individuals here on the forum who are already killing it.

And last but not least

-Networking

Make sure to network with individuals who are more successful than you as much as possible. Try to level up as much as possible. YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW POWERFUL IT IS. You are literally the sum of the 5 closest people to you. So if you have to cut them off, so be it. Doesn't matter if it's your "bros", family members, gf's/bf's or whatever. If you want to reach the next level, you have to surround yourself with winners. Again, there are some good guys on the forum here who you can learn from. Just the fact that YOU'RE HERE and not watching some d@ick pranks on YouTube means you're on the right track.

DM at least 5-10 accounts on Instagram daily and try to do some collabs with them as much as you can. Will boost your IG's growth tremendously!

Here's the full video:

That's it from me for now. Hope the very few of you, the .1 percenters of you who are ready to take action, take this advice and put it to fruition in real world. Good luck!
