I wrote my first "book" over the course of 6 months. It turned out to be a whopping 13000 words. Not even a true novelette. At least my wife bought a copy, lol. I wrote that story before I ever read MJ's book and to be honest I would have never read the book if it wasn't recommended by someone (the title sounded like a get rich quick thing to me). I found the book extremely encouraging, so I came to the forums. From there I found Chickenhawk's awesome thread, which motivated me even more. Now to end the rambling.
I'm already 4500 words into my novel and it's only been 3 days. I plan to make it into a series. I'm undecided on whether it will be two or three books at the moment, but I do know that I want at least 70,000 words per book. I'm writing in the dystopian/love and romance genres. Nothing erotica, but CH's books are still encouraging to me.
Anyways, thanks for the encouragement MJ and CH. I'd still be sitting around thinking about doing something if not for you MJ. CH, I hope your success continues.
