I usually support any entrepreneur who is going beyond, and doing the hard work.

Had a young entrepreneur come to my door (door to door solicitation) asking if he could clean my windows. I passed, but took his card and gave him a book.

A lot of times I buy stuff, but don't actually take possession of the stuff... Like Girl Scout Cookies which are absolute garbage, but that is by no fault of the little girl selling them. So I buy a box, but say donate it.

Oh man. Our 9 yo dropped a bomb a few weeks ago.

“When life gives you lemons, eat lemons.”

It tickled me.

Anyway. Last year a neighbour’s 8yo was sat in front of his garden on a chair with a small table in front of him.

Picture him with fingers crossed, patiently waiting for someone to walk past.

I sauntered over and asked about his paintings, then bought his favourite for €1.50.

Yeah I debated the other day as I was in ‘saving’ mode.

Then I saw how persistent and friendly these kids were. They loved my dogs (major value add) ;-)

I got some change and came back. 50 cents for a totally great exchange with the neighbors and some delicious lemonade.

About 25 years ago On my Tuesday working tour I came along a small flea marked some kids made in front of their parent’s house.
I bought a matchbox car.
The following weeks I bought one every week I came along.
After some weeks the flea markets disappeared.

Years later I saw someone there, stopped and asked what the kids do.
They own a big house hold market now. May be I did my thing to their success.
