Learn from people that are already in the place you want to be, every day. I cannot tell you how important a good, uplifting mastermind really is. This forum is great because of that, but there are lots of Facebook groups, Slack Channels, Discord Servers, etc., that they'll help you change your perspective on what's possible.

I've tried looking for Discord servers but have had no luck.

I'd really appreciate if you'd post the ones you recommend.

Thank you.

Self discovery. Understand how your mind works, uncover what your good at, and what your not. Spend time treating yourself.

Lastly, find some charities and give back!

Resist temptation and develop a sense of discipline.

Read. Take free online classes. Learn. Research. Start creating everyday. I have a notebook I keep with me all the time and write down ideas for books and inventions. Build off it. Delete things.

The most important thing? Do these things daily.

yes

reading and meeting the right people that aready have the life we want

because they know the path we must follow instead of wandering in the dark

finding the right mentors and masterminds group is leverage

most people try to reinvent the wheel in their life while the knowledge is already there

Not that I am living proof that what I am preaching works, but I think that "Just take action" is really bad advice.

In drawing communities you hear that again and again. Just "Draw, Draw and Draw" ... but there is evidence that without including deliberate practice you will simply not improve.

I also had to witness the struggle of businesses with leadership and management that are broken but where work ethics is stellar. It is hell.

I would say there are prerequisites that you need to get right. Otherwise the daily actions will not get you closer to your destination.

My take on this is:
Use "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" as a rough outline, then other books to build on the concepts:

1. Being Proactive
2. Defining a Mission (Leadership is about doing the right things)
3. Creating Goals and Managing Progress (Management is about doing things right)
4. Look for the third way ("Holding Paradox" - according to Bryan Franklin - not siding in a seeming paradox)
5. Understanding others and using insights to make sure you are understood
6. Synergizing
7. Reflecting, Adjusting and improving resilience

Some of the books that fit in: The Art Of War, Abundance, Thinking Fast And Slow
, The 48 Laws of Power, The ONE Thing etc.
With that approach you will arrive at many of the conclusions that you find in UNSCRIPTED .

Why such a verbose reply?
I think the most important part is being able to qualify activities in the "Urgent / Important Matrix", which differs for each personal Mission Statement.
The quadrant that you spend time in expands at the costs of the others ... and you want to spend time in "Not Urgent / Important".
In the companies that are stuck in limbo, all activities are qualified as some level of important: very important right now, only somewhat important etc. That way to qualify things seems to be a recipe for disaster while taking actions to make sure things do not become urgent in the first place is awesome.
