I am currently reading "The Third Circle Theory" By Secret Entourage.

It's a pretty interesting read as it discusses the framework on how to live a successful life regardless of what success means to you.
The concepts in this book are very similar to those talked about in TMF and it really has a strong emphasis on building and nurturing your mindset.

I've read about 90% of it and I'd highly recommend it to others!

I'm currently working my way through two - The Art of Innovation and How to Write a Good Advertisement. Both are pretty good, so far.

Trust Me, I'm Lying - Ryan Holiday

What a fantastic read so far. It's like a playbook on how to manipulate blogs to posting your stories by giving them exactly what they are looking for and hungry for.

I may very well try half the stuff he recommends once my new venture starts getting up and running.

It's kind of a depressing read, to be honest, but actually puts into words and confirms what I've felt about the news scene for years now - that it's all fluff and content doesn't matter.

The gist of what I've read so far is that most blogs are less like thoughtful journalists brainstorming the next great story and more like heroin addicts looking for their next fix. Except their "fix" in this case is page-views.

Hey Fastlane community,

Another great book I'm currently reading is called:

"The Power of Habit" by: Charles Duhigg

It really goes into the science of habits; how they're formed as well as how to make new habits.
I find this real helpful for entrepreneurs since our success is determined by doing the right things on
a consistent basis.

Hopefully this book will provide some insight as to what habits may be keeping you from reaching your
full potential as well as really focusing on the good habits you currently have in order to maximize your success.

Just finished 'Marketing Outrageously' by Jon Spoelstra. Best takeaway I got from it is the chapter "Whats it going to take?" It has stayed with me...

Now I'm starting 'Outrageous Advertising, that's outrageously successful' by Bill Glazer and 'Blue Ocean Stategy' by William Clark Kim

Looking forward to both...

I'm not sure if this has been discussed on the forum yet but out of curiosity, has anyone else recognized the book that's in the dollar shave club commercial? I'll give you a hint - its one that's on MJ's recommended list.

It's a fictional but realistic look at what could happen one second after an electromagnetic pulse were to hit the United States. Interesting premise. Not much business relevance but every once in a while you need a diversion from business.

Since I last logged on (almost a month ago) I read...

1. "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen
Very short read and a nice reminder.

2. "Abundance: The Future Is Better Than You Think"
by Peter H. Diamonds and Steven Kotler
I want to, in the future, be able to lead/participate in the kind of philanthropic endeavors that were talked about in the book.

3. "How To Win Friends and Influence People"
by Dale Carnegie
I am re-reading it and will finish it by tonight. Essential reading for future Fastlaners IMO.
