Just got back from an African safari. This was a partial business trip and one of its main purposes was to tour the many lodges to see what is available for high income clients.

So I thought I'd post some motivation for you all here. What you are looking at below are the suites at the Four Seasons Serengeti. These suites are just ridiculous in size and location. The suites each have their private pool. Not sure of there square footage but, I'm guess at least 1300 sf. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, private fitness center, private kitchen (but the staff cooks food for you).

Price for this suite is $11,000 per night. They said that most people stay 6-7 nights. How fastlane do you need to be to stay in this suite?

The crazy thing is that after being there a week and seeing these lodges, the $1,000/night room sounds like a great deal!

This was a partial business trip

Q: What's better than an African Safari?
A: An African Safari that's tax deductible.

Well played Kenric. Well Played.

Safari is definitely on the bucket list. One of my fastlane is goals is take my Dad and brother on a Safari.

Since I would be out there, I might as well do some hands on emerging markets for my fund as well. Africa is not quite ready yet, but within five years it will become one of the top places for investment opportunities.

I did a 2 week trip to a few camps similar to that in Botswana years ago after I sold a company. A trip of a life time and will go back. It's a whole 'nother world. A weird feeling when you aren't at the top of the food chain ;)

Hopefully K doesn't mind a little more porn in this thread. Just came back from Bahamas, here is Nassau and Paradise Island where Nick Cage, Oprah, Eddie Murphy and a bunch of celebs live. It also has this little resort called Atlantis :D So the balcony looking thing is actually the king suite where celebs like Micheal Jackson, Bill Clinton, Queen of England stay. It goes for $25,000 per night, with 4 night minimum. It is booked out for the next 5 years. The houses on the island are 15m+. Best thing we did was taking a jet ski and going up and down the coast checking out the most amazing water, beaches and the Caribbean vibe. Oh...and I saved the receipts too... something tells me there will be a part about Bahamas somewhere in my next book ;)

Just offer it a nice Daiquiri and a swim. Never heard of a leopard turning that down.

That is F****ing awesome! How long is the trip out to the resort? I'm guessing it's out in the Serengeti somewhere so must be a long one, regardless that is still cool.

@biophase, absolutely amazing! I've been on the continent twice, it's magical. Most recent trip was 2011, to Ghana, West Africa, to set up a gold import operation. Lets just say that things did not go exactly as planned, but a great trip. I'll write a book about it one day. Lol
I gotta stay at that lodge on my next trip!
Thanks for the motivation!!

Not sure what you mean. The resort in the Serengeti. The safari is done in the Serengeti? Do you mean how far is the Serengeti from the USA?

I meant how far is the resort from a town or city or the closest airport.

Thank so much for the pics! Awesome share. I'll add this to my why.

Speaking of Fastlane Porn...here's a music video that really motivates me every time I watch it. If I could describe it with one word, it would be "Freedom". Enjoy!

Loved that video!!! hahahaha great share!

The closest airport is only 15 minutes away. But it looks like this. It's an hour flight to the nearest city. Surprisingly the grass runways are super smooth and the landings are so soft that I didn't even know we touched down.
