Slow laner looking to unscript myself

Hey there!

I am 36 years old, living in Turku, Finland, where I moved two months ago from Helsinki. At the same time, I transitioned from employment to entrepreneurship. It feels good, but also stressful, to figure out and earn the freedom in these early stages.

At the moment, I have one reference client. They wanted to continue working with me after I announced I was quitting my job, so here we are.

I have failed with entrepreneurship before when I tried to turn writing books into a business. When looking at the financial figures, I must say it was more like an expensive hobby than a business. I definitely want to avoid that mistake again.

Currently, I haven't committed to any particular idea. I am still open and figuring out opportunities. And of course, I am reading Unscripted as much as I can.

I've been thinking about where and what value I can offer, so here are some of my strengths to help you get to know me better:

• B2B prospecting and direct marketing in Finland: This has been mainly what I've been doing for the past decade. There is a demand for it, and some might even say it is profitable, but it is all relative. There might be some opportunities, but I might be the wrong person to continue this. After 10 years, my results have not improved, remaining mediocre at best. However, the one customer I still work with is really happy. Through my efforts, they have gained access to 20 of the 30 biggest companies in Finland. This field is fiercely competitive, and I know many people in the industry, but I am pretty much just tired of it.
• Bitcoin and economics: I've co-authored two books about it and spent a lot of time understanding what money really is and our current economic situation. With these ideas, I've managed to create and deliver a lot of value, but the process was slow and did not provide enough cash flow to keep going.
• Creative (especially writing): I am very creative and, in a sense, productive as well. At times, this turns against me because I forget which ideas I should be executing, instead of coming up with new ones.
• Fluent in Finnish & English: Although this is true for most of the Finnish population nowadays, there are still many who, for some reason, do not use it. For me, the English language has always meant access to knowledge and networks outside my own tiny country. This mindset and mentality are now something I want to finally utilize (as I've often not utilized it for many different reasons).

To conclude, it's nice to be on this forum and platform. As I've read Unscripted many times, I am grateful that this forum exists and that MJ has managed to keep the focus on value delivery. That is such a rare and scarce quality in almost all other online discussion platforms.
