Let me start off by saying this may just be me....but once I send my FBA shipments into Amazon, I tend to kind of assume that all my units are received. After all, if anything's missing, it's only usually one or two units - no big deal (I sell small items).
So today I went in to manage my FBA shipments and went over all of my previous shipments to see which ones were still "IN RECEIVING". To my surprise, quite a few of my old shipments were still in this status, and even a few that were closed still had units missing. I don't know how these units went missing, whether it was goods lost in shipping or it was Amazon's fault.
Altogether, between 4-5 shipments, I had probably around 30 units missing, which would retail for $500-600 for me.
Little did I know that if you click on these shipments, there is a "reconcile" tab which takes maybe 30 seconds to fill out. I filled it out for each shipment, and Amazon pretty much automatically reimbursed my account for the full retail price.
So after 5 minutes of work, I was able to gather roughly $500 in reimbursements that would have otherwise been left sitting on the table.
Like I said...could just be me, but thought I would post this in case anyone else has the same situation.
