You know whats a f*cking superpower that not enough people talk about?
The ability to follow your plan, not your mood.. And no I wont tell you to follow your plan LITERALLY... keep reading.
It’s simple in theory:
Yet, the moment comes when you don’t feel like it. And you realize your brain is not your friend anymore. You tell yourself, "If I force it, I won’t do good enough work." You rationalize skipping it. The gym feels impossible today. No music, bad vibes, no energy. and as a result you wont be able to train harder than last time…
And here’s where your brain betrays you. You start to think: Maybe I don’t want it bad enough.
But this is the test. Do it anyway.
Even if you have a bad workout. Even if today you don’t train harder, or your output is 70% worse. You’ve still moved forward.
Because while your results might stay the same today, the anterior mid-cingulate cortex in your brain—the part that grows when you push through discomfort—has grown ALOT , way more than any other day because today SUCKED.
Every time you act against your mood, you’re training your brain to stick to your goals. That’s real progress.
To put simply the anterior mid-cingulate cortex is responsible for your ability to stick to your goals and actually crush them. so yeah , go against your mood , whilst you may be WEAKER today , you have set yourself up to be STRONGER the next time you feel like this
Become who you want by learning who you are.
