Rep bank $0? How it mimics your real life bank.

It would be very interesting to demonstrate that past value reaps dividends.

If there's a rep reset and you still got credit for NEW likes on OLD posts, it would demonstrate that even if you went broke, you would still reap the dividends of your past work.

I like it.

I am hopeful of the opposite. When you go broke, you start from zero. I'd like to see a true reset with everyone starting at a level playing field.

Here's what I anticipate would happen with a rep reset.

We'd lose some veterans who wouldn't give a shit. Some veterans would continue to contribute, and rise to the top again. Some new posters would emerge as the next generation of superstars. Legacy content would stop contributing to rep speed. Right now, I get more rep$$ for stuff I wrote three years ago as it gets rediscovered and bumped.

Here's what wouldn't happen : someone who has been here for four years with 130 shitty posts and 20 likes would all the sudden become a value contributor.

All in all, @MJ DeMarco I think it would be good for the forum. It would be an excellent value lesson.

Totally thought @Vigilante and @jon.a were kicking this around just to make a point.

If there's any chance for this to actually happen, it would be fun, interesting, and informative. Just sayin'

I guess it all depends on which way @MJ DeMarco thinks provides the most value for his forum members.

Transferred @luniac $50 Rep because he said he felt he wasn't worthy of his rep bank...

Logged back onto the forum 2 hours later with a thank you and somebody else donated $100 to me for no apparent reason other than I made a funny joke on this thread.

On the topic of posting valuable information.

I was actually writing up a document during this whole shi-bang of all my copy writing notes.

So others could easily implement little tricks here and their for their business TODAY.

Not finished yet though, still have around 20 pages from my legal pad of copy notes to type out!

edit2: Although there is sufficient information in the forum to get started, i still often review others copy writing, whom which make some of these simple mistakes my notes cover.

Should be up tonight or in afternoon of tomorrow.
