Please only vote if you plan on coming.

NOTE: YOU CAN VOTE FOR MULTIPLE WEEKENDS-- CHOOSE ANY/ALL THAT WORK FOR YOU!!

Estimated Costs:

-$120-200/nt for hotel room (x 3 or 4 nights = $360-800)
-$150 for registration (includes lunch for Fri, Sat, Sun)
-$200+ your airfare (per person)
-$200 + or - (meals-- dinner Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, breakfast F, Sa, Sun, Mon)
-$40 + airport transportation (or rental car, more $$)
______
$950 - 1500/1600 for event (more $$ if hotel room is more and you rent a car)

(but hey, it gets cheaper if you sleep in the same room! ;) )

If that hotel number is really per night, you'd need to multiply that by 3 for the total cost.

Probably a good idea to budget in some cost for a rental car also. I did the taxi route last year and don't really remember the round-trip cost, i'm thinking about $40 each way? Anyway, I do remember it was almost impossible to get a taxi from the hotel to the airport. I had calls into two different taxi companies, and neither showed. Someone was being dropped off at the hotel and I was able to get that taxi to take me to the airport, barely made the flight.

The airport is about 10 minutes from the hotels we are looking at. I dont mind making a couple trips to the airport to pick people up. My car can hold 3 (4 if you are skinny), so I dont mind picking up a small group and dropping them off on Sunday. That's $40 per person per way, so $320 total savings. All I ask is you all coordinate so I can make one trip to pick you all up.

Edge, many thanks for catching that. I was in a huge rush to get out the door and knew it was too low, but didn't have the time to think about it.

Original post corrected to reflect the cost of 3-4 nights. :)

If the RealOG service isn't available, these guys are great as an airport shuttle in Phoenix.

SUPER SHUTTLE PHOENIX

You can book (and pay) in advance on their website. I used them last time and they were right on time.

I use the taxi service to the airport regularly. It is $16 or $17 from my house which is real close to the hotel from last year. I always use AAA or Budget which both contract with the airport. They have only been late for a pickup once.

If the RealOG service isn't available

why is it when I hear this I think of a Hummer limo w/ spinners :smilielol:

as far as a ride service I'll probably be renting a subcompact and might be able to fit 1 or 2. For lodging I know my parents are just about to get a roommate so I'm not sure if there will be an extra room which speakin of him, he sounds very similar to Kung Fu Steve- a mid 20's martial arts instructor who does pretty well, maybe I can talk him into checking out the forums and B&P!

I really want to come to this one and meet all of you guys. I backed out last year and have kicked myself ever since.

Unfortunately I'm only going to be able to make the first weekend, as we're expecting a baby the second or third week of March.

agree.
my baby showed up 12 days ahead of schedule... too close in your case, IMO.

We probably will have the videos again, so at least people can see parts of it. I know, it is not the same, but it better than nothing.

Solution: Come with your wife.
If baby is born during the meetup then we will name the B&P after her/him from now on...
or you can name the baby "John/Jane B&P Werner"

OK, enough with the hijacking... those coming, please keep voting, we need to make a decision in less than three days.

It turns out that I will be on a 24 hour relay running race on the 27th and 28th. We will have to collect our award for the win afterwards. :icon_super: That is what I call the "fastlane". :yourock:
