I wanted to get better with Camtasia but not post to my main YouTube channel.
I get better by doing/producing, not consuming how to videos on YouTube.
My kids got me into a Roblox game and I joined the Discord server for the game and saw people asking how to get started.
It was Saturday evening and I knocked up a new YouTube channel, recorded a game, edited it (the annotations took the longest), published the video, then posted a link to the video into the Discord server.
The best player in the game watched some of the video and responded with some tips on my gameplay (damn, I'm such a noob), and one of the players I tagged thanked me and said he'd watch the video.

It's a brand new channel and I've a handful of views and 1 Like on the first video already.
I pretty sure a lot of forum members play games, and I'm pretty sure a lot thought about creating a YouTube channel but never got round to it.
For the love of God, will you just start already.
Find someone who needs help.
Help them, ideally in public.
Figure the rest out as you go.
For the video itself:
I wanted to reduce the size of the mouse cursor but the option wasn't there.
I also wanted to split the audio and video track so the background music didn't change when I cut out parts of the video, but that option wasn't there either.
I suspect I don't have some Camtasia settings right ( @Cameraman ... did you ever come across this?).
@MTF ... tagging you as I thought you might find this amusing.
