Hey guys, I've launched a Digital Marketing Agency and already have 5 companies (via my network) that want me to provide them services.

For all of them, I'm creating free 2-step sales funnel websites and then provide free marketing training content (Via email) to their Affiliate Marketers that promote their companies. I do this to get their affiliate marketers to use my referral link for a Sales Funnel software (I get 60% commission recurring).

But 1 of my clients wants me to create him a "Webinar Script" + Webinar Page + 3 Sales Emails + 2-Step Sales Funnel + Paid Ad Management (I will outsource this to a Partner Agency & take a commission)

It seems most of my work would be in doing Copywriting based on the above services I provide him.

1) How much should I charge for the above services as a fairly new person in the owning-my-own agency world?

2) Is there a specific service structure or company structure that I should follow as a Digital Marketing Agency?

3) How much should I charge for a creating a Webinar? (Aside from doing the actual voice over work)

I'm experienced in Digital Marketing, but I am new to owning my own agency.

Just set your own price.

See if they bite.

If you set an X price, and in your head, you are thinking it's worth more, CHARGE MORE.

Repeat until happy.

There's nothing worse than being stuck in a reoccurring income that you know you could have gotten more out of.

If they say no, it's fine.

Better to pass up on a client than to undervalue yourself.

Something I learned the hard way.

And if you BTW ignore this, every time you do some work that that reoccurring income includes, you will feel angry an annoyed at yourself knowing you could have gotten more.

This advice is gold.

I am starting to feel that I have been under valuing myself with my clients. In the beginning you just want to get clients and it is so easy to set a lower price just to get clients in the door. This has been my problem.

Will use your advice now to rather pass on a client, than work for a price that does not suit me.

Thank you for the advice!

How much is the average client worth to them? Work it out, (ask) and then charge 10% of that figure.

1 Average Client = $20,000 Your Charge = $2000

If their clients are only worth low three figures or worse still double figures, take it as a learning experience not to take on clients with such low profits.

That's a really good point and it makes sense. I agree to not take on "low value clients". I know two different guys (each do FB & GOOG ads separately) that own agencies.. and they make $3,000/$5,000 minimum per month per client (And that's just what they charge for their time, not inc ad spend).

They target high value clients like Wealth Management Firms.

This makes a lot of sense and I had this thought in my head too somewhat.

He said "money is tight" on the call and that "he would have more money rolling in within 2 months".

Nonetheless - I will charge a fair price for my time/work.

I never wanted to do 1 on 1 "Client work" like this, but I re-thought it as it's a big pay day for me if it's 4 figure work. I won't go below that.

He's just not sold on whatever you're selling

That's a lot of value you are giving and potential customers. I would go very high. How much revenue will this generate for him?

how about competition? do you know what your competitors are charging?

1.) How about , three times what it costs you?

2.)you mean offering packaged services vs a la carte? You should be fleshing out what they qctually need dueing a discovery phase otherwise you'll end up constantly soing stuff like this , you dont want to be a generalist - your percieved value will be low and you'll always be fighting on price. Also a generalist anything compqny sells for less than a specialist (and its going to be harder to get yourself out of the mix as the company face and only value add)

Do you mean more generally how the company should be structured?

3.)again id say 3 times what it costs you , that leaves meat on the bone for unexpected overages and also allows you to take at least 30%

If youre delivering then youre worth it.

Makes sense. I'll still charge what I'm worth. If money is low, we can trim the fat and do what he can afford to get him out there and started.

Hard to say as he hasn't launched. But it will give him a complete and total "system" so to speak. Aside from speaking from the Webinar Script I give him - All he has to do is drive traffic to it and handle customer support.

Thanks for that as it makes sense. I do feel like a Generalist, because I'm providing:

- Webinar Script
- Sales Funnel (I use templates, but still some design work involved.. but it's mainly Copywriting here)
- Email Marketing (Email Copywriting)
- Business Strategy (Creating his entire Sales Funnel strategy)

To be HONEST... I feel like more of a "Copywriter" doing the above as I'm literally writing away.

It almost feels like 90% of Digital Marketing is Copywriting when you cut out the using funnel/site templates, strategy, etc aspect.

how about competition? do you know what your competitors are charging?

Messaged around 10 different Copywriters.

Rates for what I proposed in the original post range from $1,200-$2,600 USD. Which was what I was going for any way in terms of my lowest to my highest.
