I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly.
As I don't have a concrete idea or a 'thing' that I want to create, I have read that the best thing to do in the mean time is to sell.
Instead of over educating yourself through books and podcasts, the best way to develop into a good entrepreneur is to be out on the field.
Take action and put yourself out into the market. Learn the process of selling, marketing, listing products online etc.
You don't study entrepreneurship you practice entrepreneurship. Am I correct in saying that?
As MJ said in unscripted "one week of market engagement is more valuable than one month of market research and analysis."
So... would I be correct in doing the following?
Since I am yet to have a product or service of my own to pursue. I want to learn (through the process of market action, not studying) how to sell and market products.
My plan is to flip goods online. Buy cheap goods and then remarket them and resell them online. emphasise their strengths and skews and then sell them at a higher price.
I am fully aware that doing this alone would be money chasing and not in line with CENTS or the fundamental entrepreneurial idea of providing value.
What I instead want to achieve from this venture is real life market experience.
Which would be a better use of my time rather than endless reading and endless mind mapping while I look for the 'perfect' idea before taking action, which I think many wantrepreneurs wind up doing.
Is my way of thinking correct?
Thanks for reading, I appreciate all feedback.
