Hello! my name is Anthony and I'm from a town named Geelong here in the land down under, Australia. I'm a huge fan of fitness and in particular, the physique side of bodybuilding. I love the company of others and long walks on the beach.... (hahah) I've ALWAYS hated the idea of working a full time job for somebody else's dream for the entirety of my life.. in fact, it scares me. Which is why I'm here.
My first introduction to the Fastlane was met with a lot of skepticism.. I thought here we go, another get rich quick scheme riddled book that just wants my money!! Boy oh boy was I wrong! (Brain Taylor reference for you footy fans) My friend letting me use his copy of the book has literally changed the values, and hopefully with some elbow grease and time, the landscape of my life. Actually forget the "hopefully", it will.
Naturally once I had finished the book, I wandered over to the Fastlane forum where I have lurked for few months before finally signing up. I instantly followed my favourite contributors and was excited to become a "sponge" and take up as much information as I could. However my attitude towards giving back to the forum was on the other end of the scale. I thought due to my lack of knowledge I couldn't contribute. Well this all changed when Andy Black advised me to read his sigs on his profile when I mentioned I wasn't really able to contribute. Thanks for that Andy.
“Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.” – Mother Theresa
This quote seriously rang a bell with me.. I've started to learn to put others before me by commencing volunteer work within my local community, helping family with diet plans etc.. I have never been happier in my life, all due to helping others. Which brings me to the point of my thread title I don't want a Lambo..
My BIGGEST motivator right now to become successful in helping others, is to be able to buy my mother her first house. She has lived a life very few would want to live, and I think it's the least I could do for the sacrifices she has made for me.
Right now, I've started to read more than I ever have, listen to podcasts and take peoples advice.. I'm educating myself as best I can. While doing this however, I jumped into the deep end of the pool and have started making an online community based business for like minded people, with an apparel line. And I can tell you I really did jump into the deep end because I'm still learning how to swim haha. But i'm loving the challenge and most importantly not scared to fail.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and it's a real pleasure to be apart of such a special community of people.
Cheers.
