Is that not a similar sort of thing though? If I'm starving and someone is selling food, I'm still gonna feel stupid saying no to that offer.
That’s because you’re starving, not because the hotdog is amazing.

From the horse’s mouth:

I've launched a new product and i'm looking for people to test it and give feedback.
How much do I get paid for my time?

Jokes aside, I’d have to pass.

@Kubera don't give up! Your months spent trying and not reaching anyone will pay off, and soon you will perfect the process.

Are you only using email outreach? As much as it sucks I would recommend you pick up the phone and call or stop by in person. Use email as well as other means of outreach to be successful, and try reaching out at least 8 times to each prospect (Using phone and email) over the course of a few months before giving up.

Also, I would recommend creating scripts for your phone calls and always be trying to improve them.

Wish you the best!

Thanks!

Not nearly giving up, just testing things, getting advice from more experienced people, and being a bit closer to making it work.

Well, cold emails, and I'm building my LinkedIn profile. I'm not opposed to cold calling. Think you're right, prospecting might be more successful if you use multiple channels.
To the people sending cold emails… have you contacted everyone who already knows you? How many people have you physically spoken to 1-2-1 already?

I wish things were as simple as that. People I know aren't running any business and if by "physically spoken" you mean going in-person to businesses - that's not an option as I'm staying in the middle of nowhere. Besides that, my ideal clients are abroad, so cold outreach is the only way for me.

This is basically how to qualify your crowd. Been thinking a lot about how to do that.

Guys, thank you a lot for your input. It's been helpful so far.

Can we now leave cold emails aside, think @Fox and @Andy Black made some solid points and I'll test that approach.

What I mentioned, that Gary Halbert's letter(Andy linked to) is basically qualifying your prospects.

How do you do that for web design?
I have a couple of ideas but I'd love to hear your opinion.

prospecting might be more successful if you use multiple channels.
Or it might not. Consider trying different channels with the goal being to get profitable with one, and then maybe expand to others.

I suspect your current goal is to figure out your channel and avatar/market, as well as your product/offer.
