I failed when I uploaded photos to Shutterstock and believed “just upload it and they will buy”…they didn’t.

I failed when I released an app to the App Store and thought “just release it and maybe they’ll buy”…they didn’t.

I failed when I fell into depression, met my demons for the first time, and ended up feeding them instead of overcoming.

I failed when I read @eliquid’s thread on Alignment, found my way to 5 values, then did nothing with them…thinking that was it.

I fail every time I find something that works, use it couple times, then stop, and find myself back where I started.

I failed when I said I’d add $1000/month of passive income through real estate in 2018…and haven’t.
(EXECUTION - My Real Estate Progress Thread)

I failed when I read success book after book after book without taking meaningful action.

I failed to choose one thing, really focus on it, and release it.

I failed when I posted a gig on Fiverr and believed “just post it and work will come”…it didn't.

I failed every time I told a friend “I have this idea. I’m going to do it”, then didn’t.

I failed to get out of bed when my alarm went off this morning.

I failed at not engaging enough with the Fastlane community.

I fail myself every day I believe I have nothing worth sharing, worth giving.

I fail every time I believe “I have to do it all myself.”

I failed when I believed other people made me this way.

I failed when I started believing that my life is bad, my inaction is bad...I’m bad.

I fail every day I don’t realize my life situation is actually pretty damn awesome.

Something needs to change.

What I see isn’t just I failed on this and this...

I see someone who has kept trying and had the heart to get back at it again after their last attempt that hopefully they learned something from.

Did you pursue or purchase any real estate on your goal to making $1,000 passive income?

If not that’s ok I wanted to invest in real estate in 2016 and didn’t until 2018.

Thanks @George Appiah , how do you like it? What are you getting out of it?

And thank you @SethLBender :) I'm definitely not just going to lie there defeated!
I haven't purchased any real estate yet for many reasons, a couple being 1 I'm learning how to go as big as possible as quickly as possible, and 2 we're at the top of the market right now...it doesn't make sense to buy.

Yesterday I had a pretty hilarious failure in the kitchen.
I was trying a new food product idea. The mixture was looking good…then I added one last ingredient I wanted in there…and it almost entirely solidified! It stopped mixing and oils started to separate.
It looks like :shit: now. It sounds lame here but man I was laughing

I don't think it's failure to think you have to do something all by yourself. It's better than having to rely on others.
Yea there's an interesting mix there. There's: "If you want something done right, do it yourself." But also no one gets successful alone, you need to leverage other people's time, knowledge, etc.

Today a fastlane friend and I were chatting about the food product I'm working on. Its a twist on a standard, existing product.

He asked me why I swapped one core ingredient of this popular product for a different one in my recipe.

I didn't have a great answer for him.

I failed to know why I'm making it the way I'm making it. Heck that should probably be step one!

Time to Google...

Today I failed to be fully convinced of why I'm moving to the city I'm choosing to move.

For months I've been telling friends and family where I'm going to move. With the move about a month away, today I found myself questioning it.

So I wrote it out. I simply typed and typed my thoughts, my questions, my answers to those questions and any doubts I had.

Then it all made sense.

Months ago I made this decision.
Externally I've been showing my confidence in that decision.
Internally I've been questioning and doubting it.

I needed to close the gap between my internal thoughts and my external claims.
Its funny how we can lose sight of something we were so sure of before.
Stay sold on it. If you're not sold, get sold.
