Hello, my name is Asad and I'm in the process of reading TMFL. I'm 17 years old. Whenever people ask me what I want to be in life I always say "isn't it weird that there is nothing I'd be willing to do from 9-5, 5 days a week?" People say "do what makes you happy" and I'd say that happiness couldn't come from something I'd have to get up in the morning for the rest of my life to do. Nonetheless, I've done very well in school and am in the process of applying to colleges when I stumbled upon this book.

I finally resonated with a "career" that aligned with what I always said; I want money (by which I really meant freedom) and not a 9-5 till I'm 65. I honestly feel lost and I catch myself searching for someone or something that is going to give me the fastlane answer I want, but I realize that this is a consumer mindset, the exact opposite of what I need.

This book has flipped my life upside down. As of two weeks ago (and still currently) I've been preparing to apply to multiple schools and am employed as a finance intern with the hope of landing a nice job during college. Fast forward two weeks and I want to do anything but that. When I put this book down a feel myself starting to think that this is crazy and unrealistic (as most people will say) but once I pick it back up I know the true craziness is accepting the deal of working 5 days in trade for 2 off.

I'm young and that makes me feel grateful because I have a lot of time on my hands and I entered this world early. I feel like I have no idea at all where to start with anything but the key has to be to focus my attention on the right areas and never stop learning.
