1. Dude buys TMF because good reviews.
2. Dude sees book as manual to create fortune and thinks he can't fail as long as he follows everything step by step.
3. Dude fails first attempt.
4. Dude blames MJ instead of himself because "did exactly what he told and stuff didn't work".
5. Dude sends hatemail to MJ.
6. MJ transforms negative into positive energy (problem solving anyone?).
7. We watch hatemail vid which reminds us on various topics on this forum, including own situations.

I feel MJ should consider getting a caricature of himself drawn and market it on social media as The FastLane Guy (tm). Like Colonel Sanders. I can actually see it looking good on merchandise.

This video is so cutely drawn and at the same time motivational! I agree that this could be very well made into a series.

The Mondrian on the wall is a nice touch.

It is too easy sometimes to not imagine you - and some of the other successful persons on here - as an Ubermensch, MJ. I admit, the question of "can someone like me even get remotely where he has gotten through his own effort" has come to my mind a few times. I still find it hard to believe that anything is in anyone's grasp, like programming. It is very hard for me, but I at least teached myself the basics of HTML and CSS for my website, how to use the commandline and Git and so on. So it is possible to go further, and it takes the right discipline and mindset for sure! Even small improvements count.
It is only a question how much you are willing to put into!

The part that really hit home with me was this:

I've been here close to 7 years now.

In my seven years here I have struck out miserably on some things. Hit foul balls on others. I've come close, but haven't had that big hit.... yet. But here's the thing... each time that I get close, I get smarter. I adjust my stance and swing again.... I'll never stop swinging.

Btw I realise one of MJ's strength seems to be sarcastic humour (as evident from the 2 books). Maybe go all out and use sarcastic humour in future videos, that would be fun to watch.

Seriously, the fixed mindset is becoming so ingrained in people that it’s laughable. When people gripe about all kinds of privilege, and yell about how great radical socialism is, they’re basically saying that they give up all responsibility and refuse to acknowledge or adopt best practices. “The powers that be,” “the system,” “those evil thin people who have no trouble fitting on amusement park rides”...they’re the ones to blame for my poverty/dysfunctional relationships/high cholesterol/losing to my nephew at Scrabble. Yes, all success at anything comes from having hyper-wealthy, successful parents; if only I grew up in Beverly Hills instead of Valley Village, I’d be right up there too!
