I've been doing a course through Harvard online and whatever can be said about formal institutions and their effect on society etc etc the structure of their course is incredible and I thought for those looking to develop an online course, this could really be held as a benchmark. It's very well laid out, it is fast, topics are usually covered in 3 to 4 minutes and somehow has an addictive quality to it. The peer-reviewed responses to your work also lend a feeling of stakes to the course which I find is missing in platforms such as udemy.

If you're thinking of or in the midst of developing a course, this could be a good investment to gather ideas for proper execution and scale. Cheers

Good for you. When I was young, one had to go to college or school to get most of this education at a very high price in dollars, location, and time. Now, you can educate yourself for almost free, one snippet of learning at a time. I love all the books and classes that available now. The gatekeepers -- the publishing companies, the universities, and schools -- have lost their lock on our knowledge base. Everything is out there for the asking.

Good posts! I went to Harvard for a few years to flip items. After the semester ends many of the students leave behind a treasure of values. A lot of cool stuff such as TVs, videogames, etc, etc

I'm taking the CORe program at the moment.
Hows it going for you so far? Do you feel it has been valuable?

Also, what did you pay and what motivated you to sign up?

Thanks

Ya, I lived in the "student ghetto" and move out day would be a profitable day for some.

It's going well, it's been valuable both from a traditional knowledge standpoint and an entrepreneurial one as it's quite a community built around this course. I never would have thought an online course could provide such value so it's really changed my perspective on what I can do as a producer. It doesn't hurt having the Harvard name behind it but the standalone course content and delivery is excellent.

It's not cheap, price is on the website. My motivation was to reinforce management skills on a general level to prepare myself for whatever challenges come my way. I found sitting flying jets for the last decade has dulled my business senses and this is doing a great job bringing it back. It's giving me a much better idea of scale I haven't been hitting upon with my current ventures. I also figured having HBS on my CV couldn't hurt when it came to finding funding and/or partners.
