Was looking for some info on importing, and stumbled upon @Walter Hay 's thread.
Went through every page, learned lots and then found out there's a lot more great stuff on this forum.
I've already put some of @Andy Black 's tips to good use.
So I'm staying
I'm someone who puts great emphasis on getting the products. Guess I was raised that way. Whenever I'm looking for something, I always research the hell out of it to make sure I get the best.
Combining this with my love for tea, I'm looking to set up a brand and for high end tea. Not the stuff you can buy in fancy brick and mortar shops or your typical webshop. But the stuff emperors drank.
I love a good project.
Ran some numbers, margins are decent. Competition is big so differentiating is going to be a challenge. Through excellent quality and service I'm confident that once I get a sale I'll also get repeat business.
Anyway, at the moment I'm in the validation stage. I'm driving adwords traffic to a validation landing page I set up using this template. I was a bit lost but with Andy's Launch & Learn post, I'm going to find out what customers are actually wanting.
It's hard, there are a lot of firsts for me, but I'm enjoying every step of the process.
Becoming a millionaire is no goal of mine. Financial independence however, is. Though probably not something I'll achieve with a webshop where I live. Maybe if I wholesale the brand or go for a worldwide store. I haven't given this any thought to be honest. It's something for later.
Feedback is very welcome. I appreciate critical input, though I find it difficult to hear. I'll continue going through this forum, looking for more great info but if you'd like to point me to a topic, please do!
