Do You Exercise In The Morning, During The Day, Or At Night?
And since we are at it, what time do you wake up?
In my opinion nature intends for us to rise early and get to work.
but humans are so adaptable so who knows really.
I'm on day 4 and feeling amazing. Working out in the morning definitely sets you up for success throughout the rest of the day.
I think so too, i'd say even we are made to rise with the sun and go to sleep when the sun disappears.
I prefer to work out in the morning because i feel like the resistance from my brain is weaker than in the evening. It's a catch 22 though because i prefer working on my projects/business in the morning before work to and can only really fit one in so i often have to juggle the two. I'm up at 5(ish), leaving for work at 6.15 and start work at 7 am.
This has been exactly my experience.
although my lazy a$$ feels resistance to working no matter what time it is, i do feel more in control in the morning if i don't feel like total shit upon waking up.
I really think this is the way nature intended, this is how ancient civilization did it.
Ancient Greeks woke up early as F*ck, busted their a$$ until midday and only then maybe ate a bit and chilled, and dinner was the biggest meal of the day and party time lol
Ancient Romans did the same, they use to eat biggest meal at midday but it slowly got pushed further and further back into the evening.
Point is, it just makes sense to get up early, get all your work done, and chill the fuk out later.
This is the lifestyle im trying to adopt for the rest of my life, still on step 1 though lol, wake up no later than 8AM consistently.
Yeah I wish I was one of those people that really look forward to working out, but I think I'm just not wired that way. So everytime I have to have this mental battle where I push through the resistance, if I do, it's a good day. If I don't, then my lizard brain has won.
I think it stems from not enjoying the activity, if we enjoy something then we can do it no matter if it hurts or whatever.
I asked my Kung Fu teacher who's this 60 year old super peaceful chinese dude that can still do flips and shit about how to get any kind of work done that you absolutely dread doing and feels like pulling teeth to get started.
He said you gotta learn to smile and enjoy your work, and enjoy life in general, he said you gotta twist it in your mind to go from "i hate this shit" to "i enjoy work, this is good, im like this"
easier said than done though lol
I mean its true though, probably people who consistently work out love the feeling of making a little bit of progress every day, knowing they're doing their body good and are slowly getting stronger and healthier.
but if it feels like a chore then you're forever fighting an uphill battle.
if I do, it's a good day. If I don't, then my lizard brain has won.
Moving to keto and one meal a day, at night, made th
Yeah I believe everything in life is down to your mindset. If you can turn your mind into granite you can pretty much achieve anything. That's what I'd love to have. Everything else would come easier with that!
