What up, Fastlaners?

I was pleasantly surprised when I came across a Youtuber with more than 603,000+ subscribers to see a video that went in hard with the idea that one of the most important concepts to learn was none other than....

Stuff taught in "The Millionaire Fast Lane."

Was that a big let down?

I hope not.

You know, I pop in and out of this forum, but there is NOT one moment when evaluating any potential business opportunity or potential "how does this fit in to what I'm doing" that I don't think of one of MJ's books.

Anyways, since I never hear any of his stuff associated with the bigger A.I. and Silicon Valley talks, figured I'd plug this video here to not only give context, but, to also, perhaps, give more idea fodder for folks that have a harder time making the bigger broader connections on how MJ's stuff applies to the macro world...

Enjoy.

I skimmed the video. She's more or less piggy-backing off of/referencing MJ's work. Her actual "content" though is nothing short of basic life advice you can find on Google, and/or should be obvious based on the direction of life.

"One of the most important things you should be doing right now is learning AI." No shit. The people that care have been/already are learning it, and the people that don't care probably never will. And her telling them to care won't make them.

"You should be learning personal finance." Once again, another obvious "life thing." The people that care probably have a decent credit score, "controlled" debt, and some type of savings. Those that don't care are probably on government benefits.

TL;DR: it's long-winded, regurgitated content that seemingly provides no value.

Cheers.

@focusedlife - Thanks for letting me know about the video... I never take these free mentions for granted within these bigger YT channels. Paying for a plug on a channel with 600K subscribers is worth about $15K in advertising based on rates I've seen, so I'm always grateful.

Could you provide some guidance on where to start or what resources you found helpful when you were learning these subjects? I'd appreciate any recommendations you could offer. Thanks in advance!

This reply by MJ is a great example of "Catch them when they're good."

Thanking people and explaining why it helped means more people will be on the lookout for videos and will post them in the forum.

Reward the behaviors you want to see more of.

"Thanks for" is a great way of replying to people to.

@MJ DeMarco , I figured you might appreciate it (validated, lol).

Yeah, the fact that your stuff stands the test of times, especially, and when faced with uncertain times is DEFINITELY a testament to it's perennial usefulness.

And, I gotta admit... MFL ain't my favorite (that would be the 2 Unscripted works that follow).

@Andy Black , GREAT POINT and NOTED.
