So I'm about to launch a new eBook that I've been working on for ages- a style guide for men 
I will be selling this eBook via a website I currently own, but I would like to use other distribution channels- one of them being Amazon, selling it as a kindle book. The only thing that prevents me from publishing it there at the moment, is the following:
for some examples, I have used (parts) of pictures displayed items (e.g. jeans, watches) on sites like H&M. Almost all pictures Ive used are not to be found on the sites anymore because they continously update their new clothing line.

My dad works at a publishing company but even he wasn't sure if this would be OK though he suspected it would be perfectly fine.
Nonethless, it's better to be safe than sorry so I'm looking forward to people who know about these things and your advice.
