Digital marketing has dominated traditional marketing since the evolution of technology. Today, online presence is a must if you want your business to reach a wider target market and it is a cost-effective process unlike traditional marketing where you have to pay thousands or millions for TV, radio advertising and such in order for your brand to gain visibility and attract customers.

In this fast-paced and competitive industry, internet presence is considered to be the new “face” of every business. As such your initial goal when creating a website or social media page is to gauge your audience’s attention.

Leaving a good first impression helps leave a vivid perception or image of what your business does in the minds of every customer.

A good first impression likewise has a ripple effect on customer instinct and preference. It will boost your business’ competence in such a way that customers will assume your business can provide the best products and services in the market.

What are the benefits of digital marketing to startups?
1. Startups Have Access to Free Advertising

Even though you are a single individual handling your startup business, you can have free access to marketing resources available on the internet such as social media. With social media, it is possible to advertise your products or services without spending a cent.

2. Startups Lead Free Customers to Conversion
Conversion means converting a customer whose first intention is to browse products and services without any plans of becoming a paying customer. To ensure maximum conversion, there are various tools that are effective, including:
3. Startups Build a Closer Relationship with Customers
Customers feel valued when they know that your business is providing the best customer experience they can ever have by answering their questions with utmost sincerity and when you interact with them in the best possible way. As a business leader who is handling a startup business, it is possible that you will have a closer relationship with your customers, especially if you are hands-on.

4. Startups Get Consistent Return of Investment (ROI)
With careful planning, your business can generate a steady flow of traffic which can help you gain higher ROI. In the long run, your business will be able to convert leads into sales.

5. Startups are able to Entice Clients to Respond to Calls-to-Action (CTA)
Clickable buttons, banners, graphics or texts include verbs that encourage a user to complete an action, including:
  • Contact Us
  • Download
  • Order Now
  • Start Your Free Trial
With these CTAs, your customers would know the next step after visiting your website. CTAs can help customers decide quickly to click the Buy button or pushing through with a purchase or subscription.

1. Startups Have Access to Free Advertising
Its only free if you dont count your time.
Time spent on your product is much more rewarding than time spent on social marketing.
Best to spend money on marketing and time on the product.

3. Startups Build a Closer Relationship with Customers
This is true, to some extent, although you should automate whatever you can without taking away from the customer experience.

4. Startups Get Consistent Return of Investment (ROI)
False. Good marketing makes a crap business fail faster.
