The Bugatti Veyron is by far my favorite car. The 2011 Model will be out very soon and will sport a couple amazing new features. One of those features is that it will sport a W16 Engine. Now everyone has heard of a V-8 and I personally heard MJ's Countach with that V-12 but a W16 engine will be two double set rows of four cylinders. 16 cylinders is a lot to pump out and Volkswagon is currently the only manufacturer making the W16. In fact, it is such a strong engine, this car packs 1001 Horsepower. The top speed is 253 M.P.H and it is entirely street legal. The 2011 car is supposed to have a slightly modified body and look a bit more sporty. But all this good stuff comes with a price. This car is set anywhere from about $1.5M to $1.8M. I just wanted to post this with you all because I find this car extremely fascinating and I just love it.

This bad boy was being outfitted for Cannonball at the same shop I was having my breaks done... needless to say... photo opp.

It was later impounded outside of Tucson for driving speeds in excess of 175mph. oops.

Red that is awsome Cannonball rocks! Doing a Cannonball or Gumball is on my bucket list. A friend of a friend ran an F50 at Gumball a few years back. Trashed the car, but had a blast!

That would be sweet... somehow my little 5.0 V8 doesn't seem so cool in the presence of those cars, lol.

When I was talking to the owner of the shop in the above pics, he was like, "my insurance doesn't even cover this car being here..." So naturally he declined my request to drive it. The owner of that Veyron was a guy out of Texas who apparently couldn't find a shop over there to do the custom work he wanted to it. I can't imagine that thing being transported to an impound lot after the owner's arrest for criminal speeding, LOLOL

There was a Veyron in my local Garage when I went in about two months ago.

The owner had knackered the bodywork whilst taking it on a track day. The cost of the bodywork replacement? The Garage had been quoted £120,000 for a replacement.

Oh my...

Oh my...

That is the drawback of ownership of these types of cars; the hassle of maintenance, finding the right shop to do work, the nuisance of transport, blah blah. My Diablo was at the shop all the time and it wasn't like the shop was down the street. Anytime I had to take the thing in it was like a full-time job for the day. Then the shop I used was involved in some questionable activities to which I was recommended to "Take the car to Vegas for service" -- yea, real convenient!

Isn't that just a brisk 45 minute jaunt for you in that thing? :) And if you're too busy/just don't want to, I could always run it up there for you when the next oil change is due.

... just sayin...

I heard that the veyron takes a TON of money to maintain.

Their was an article around about what it costs to drive one on a yearly bases. I actualy thought for the money it wasn't so bad. I think maintenance costs are like $30k a year if you don't break anything. Didn't think that was so bad though, considering its a $2m dollar toy.

$30k was about what my friend spent for new winch's on his Swan a few years back. Or what it costs to fuel up a sportfish for the season. Heck the Post I'm working on now the guy is putting $70k into it this winter.

But thats not really fair, just about everything is cheaper than boating.

From autoblog.com

There are frightening bills, horrific bills, and Bugatti Veyron bills. The legendarily expensive to buy, it seems that the Veyron is equally expensive to keep running, with some pegging yearly running costs at $300,000. It's so expensive, in fact, that Autocar says there's an owner who trailers his car to a particular driving route, then follows behind in a private jet.

Let's just take the tires, for example: in the U.S., the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s fashioned with the Veyron's unique compound cost about $30,000; in the UK they're £23,500 ($38,216 U.S.). Bugatti recommends you change them every 4,000 kilometers, or 2,500 miles, and at every ten thousand miles the company recommends changing the wheels and tires, which runs north of $50,000.

In between those wheel changes will be things like routine maintenance, with a major annual service setting you back about $20,000. None of this is particularly unexpected so long as you remember the Veyron is more a roadgoing Space Shuttle than a car. And we won't even begin to talk about how expensive pelican insurance has become...

More fun facts

-The engine is hand-assembled by two technicians in Germany and makes a minimum of 987 horsepower, even at high altitude or in high temperatures. In perfect conditions its output is closer to 1050 horses.

-With 12 radiators required to cool that monstrous engine and the other systems, the Veyron carries 26 gallons in fluids, excluding fuel.

-The Veyron might do 253 mph, but it can't cover 253 miles in an hour because at that speed its 26-gallon tank will run dry after about 50 miles.

- With a tread depth of just 4 mm, the tires need to be replaced every 10,000 miles and the wheels every 30,000 miles. Total cost? Around $73,000.

- The seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox is made by Ricardo in the UK, shifts in less than 150m/s, and costs $172,000.

- The front grilles are made of titanium to withstand bird strikes at 253 mph. "At that speed, the effect could be disastrous," says an engineer. "We need them to arrive as French fries."

- The ultra-lightweight titanium bolts used to secure major components cost $85 each, and are thrown away if they are tightened or have to be removed for any reason.

- The paintwork is done by the same German company that worked on the BMW Z8 and Porsche Carrera GT, and takes two days to examine in a light tunnel.

- Only one piece of glass in 30 is deemed good enough to be fitted to the car; the rest are stored for spares and future restorations.

- For its 60,000-mile service, the Veyron must be split in half. The work can be carried out in just five locations, or a mobile workshop can be flown to your car. No Veyron has yet done more than about 30,000 miles.

Many of you are very lucky! The Veyron is still on my "to be seen in real life" list as so is the Zonda and Koenigsegg. I have been lucky enough to park my rear end in an Enzo and see an MC12 in the back of a dealership. The manager told how the owner and he grew up together and now he has an entire fleet of cars. I met him about 2 years later and how did he afford all those cars? Fastlane baby! :fastlane:

Ever wonder how much a Bugatti would cost if you bought one today?

If I had the money for a Bugatti I wouldn't care about the maintenance costs it's all relative.

I'd love to hear his story. Did he mention the path he took-how he went from dentist to insanely successful website in a really crowded niche? Just checked the traffic and it has ridiculous numbers for a membership site.

I don't know the details. The beauty of porn is that a guy in Thailand will consume it similarly to a guy in Decatur Illinois. $19.95/mo X 100,000 every single month makes buying Bugatti Veyrons like buying a new digital camera. Or, you can get a job at Goldman Sachs.:smxB:

I wouldn't call it ridiculous having more than 400K uniques/month(probably it's more)...
Make that 10% paying and you have 40.000*$36.32= $1,452,800/month or $17,433,600/year business

Why am I not pursuing porn?

... I guess it wouldn't look so good to the kids at the school... parents wouldn't be so happy... maybe teaching personal development wouldn't work as well...

but hell! Maybe it's worth it!

Back on the topic here is one I saw last summer at a car show.

The lower picture a Maserati MC12 was my favorite of the show, unfortunately the picture does not do it justice.

Thought i would post this for you. This is my Veyron. Its never been photographed so you wont find it on the internet anywhere. But i am now selling it, so thought that i would get it out so everyone can see it.

Let me know if you like the colour, and even more importantly if you know someone who wants it!

I challenge you to find one picture that isn't exactly the same as the one here, which has been taken in my garage in Dubai, because the car is for sale like i mentioned.

And yes i am a genuine Veyron owner but i am now selling it.
As i want a SS Veyron
