I had it. Constant headache (24/7) for about 12 days, sore throat, aching all over and fatigue. Worked right through it though as the symptoms weren't debilitating, just more of an irritation.

Sounds like having a firstborn, just for much shorter time :D

I was more or less bedridden for two weeks end of March. With the typical symptoms. I slept a lot. Afterwards just started to work again but my body is still not 100 % recovered. Pain in chest when coughing/sneezing is finally gone since a few weeks, the loss of lung capacity too. That was the scary part. It's a weird thing. Only thing left now is some fatigue, a rough throat, constant hoarseness, a bit swollen eyes, nose & ears mildly congested ... like having a constant mild cold or allergic reaction. I assume I'll be rid of it in a few weeks. Just takes time, apparently. It doesn't come in the way of my work nor my vibe, that's the most important thing. @RazorCut 'irritation' is the right word. :)
And honestly: I mostly enjoyed my time off and used it well for introspection and learning new stuff.

I wasn't "tested" so I can not confirm 100% I had it. When I was sick, there were no tests available.

But I had it.

Early Feb, before everyone went crazy about it. Me and my whole family were sick with it for 4-7 days depending on person.

I can tell you that I never get sick. Ever. I haven't been sick in well over a decade. But I was bed-ridden with this for 5 days in early Feb. That's never happened to me before.

I haven't worn a mask and went out every day since. Haven't caught anything else. Neither has my wife or kids.

I still have a lingering dry cough since early Feb. I cough at least 5 times a day and generally right before I speak or breathe in ( its a 1 or 2 cough spell and done ), so I know it impacted my lung capacity directly. I can feel it in my chest a tiny bit even though there is no pain or irritation now.

I do have allergies ( although Ive never coughed like this before ), so that might be overlapping the issue as well.

I’m younger <30 and have multiple friends who’ve had it, most of them had a week or two of mild flu like symptoms. Nothing debilitating.

I was sicker than shit for three+ weeks, just before the meetup (which is mostly why I didn't go). Not 100% sure it was coronavirus, but it wasn't flu, my whole family got it together, and I've NEVER been so sick in my whole life.

That said, I don't know anyone that has been clinically diagnosed with it.

On the same vein, several people are now bragging they had "Covid"

Maybe there's a T-shirt opportunity once this is all over?

Mine would be:

"I survived
SARS
Bird Flu
Swine Flu
Asian Financial Crisis
BREXIT (tbc)
Covid 19 (tbc)"

My little bro had a wicked flu late last year & got tested during lockdown, no covid antibodies.

My nextdoor neighbour's maid claimed to have had "covid," no test done.
She said Robbie my nextdoor neighbour died of it, no test done. He was 96.
His wife got it, no test done. She's ok now.

A dog walker I spoke to claimed it, no test done.

A guy in my car group died of it in hospital, only in his 40's, cigar smoker.
He went real quick, about 6 days in hospital & he said he was feeling better.
That was a shock for me.

My other neighbour, 92, went out every single day during lockdown. She went to the supermarket, bank, post office...
Everyone pleaded with her not to.
She's still here.

And she wanted me to charge her car battery so she could go for drives.

That's after she contemplated taking the bus...

I think the reason I was able to shrug it off like a teenager was because of my fitness level at that time. I was in a habit of getting to the gym at 6am every morning and doing 80 minutes of hard cardio. Then doing a full days work and then coming back to the gym in the evening for 90 minutes of weight lifting and then a long sauna. Like everyday. I was working away and had memberships for 3 different gyms all at the same time.

I swear that made a difference.

Really missing the gym and the sauna now. I don’t have a single membership as they are all closed down. :(

Yeah I was disappointed you were’t there as I was looking forward to meeting up with you after all these years. Glad you all made it through relatively unscathed.

In my family, my 92 year old step great-grandma got CV. She was already in hospice with advanced dementia and congenital heart failure. She was admitted a few months ago and probably had a year to live. We assumed it would be her expedited death sentence. Oddly, she survived. It knocked her out for 1 day, but got over it. Really freaking bizarre.

I don't know if it is what are they saying, my friend is 93 very healthy, his son is 65 and has it at the moment, kind of mild, but my friend/his dad 93 and mum 93 not a sign of it. Same with younger friend only he got it and 7 people around him nothing. One thing I am sure of, it is bloody damn good excuse of all governments to turn us to puppets once again! :)

I knew three people. My grandmother's first cousin died at 92 from a heart attack, but because he tested positive for CV, the hospital counted it as a CV death. We're all livid because we can't give him a proper burial and he was a war hero.

My aunt got it right at the beginning. She got the runaround from 4 urgent cares until she went in to see if she was having an eye stroke and that's when she finally got an ambulance. Even then, she was turned away at the hospital. If her daughter in law wasn't a high ranking official in that hospital, she would have been left for dead. She had to pull rank in order to get her mother in law a bed.

And then a coworker's brother had it and died 2 weeks after his diagnosis. Eventually, the whole family got it, but they all recovered. It's what @RazorCut said, it's an irritation now.

My prayers are with everyone. This will pass.

Indeed, and possibly even more than overlapping. Allergy preconditioning & covid infection tend to reinforce each other. So I heard from my ear, nose and throat specialist last week. (I have also allergies.)

That's just awful. I can't imagine how that must be for you. My prayers are with you too in these difficult times.

I just got a taste of this, when I couldn't see my grandmother when she was admitted in the hospital with a fractured hip. Nobody could visit her. She was all alone. She has Alzheimers. Luckily, the operation went well. But she's lost a lot of weight and her Alzheimers worsened a lot. That's really been the most difficult and emotional part of this period for me.

Now she's back in the nursing home. I was just on a videocall with her, and now I can finally see how she's back to being more herself. I am so grateful that she's still there. She's my rock. She can't express herself anymore like she used too, but the most important things she still gets across, mostly with no words.

Hi Tony,

Many people have Covid19 and don't know it because the symptoms are so mild.

Some people are totally wiped out, but it is a small minority.

My good friend Jeannie McGinnis was unlucky. She is a health fanatic, exercises regularly and speaks on wellness.

Jeannie took 12 weeks to bounce back after a stay in intensive care and documented the journey.

A racer had it and passed away a few weeks ago. My business parter's ex-wife has it right now. She is still part of the family. She is a pharmacist so she comes in constant contact with sick people. She ran a little bit of a fever but she has been fine other than that. On the bright side.... she gets 2 weeks paid vacation! YAY!

This is another good reason for me to not exercise and eat what others call 'junk'. :bicep:

Glad she is better now. Tell her to go on my Dr. Pepper & chocolate diet, it's been working great for me. I think the reason I stay healthy is because germs are afraid to enter my body :pizza::cake:

I got it and was one of the lucky ones. I had mild symptoms that were minor headaches and loss of taste and smell for a few days. Didn’t even think I had it because I get the same symptoms with allergies and only got tested because I was exposed to someone that tested positive for it when we were both wearing masks go figure.
